Astral should be removed from the item mall

Astral should be removed because it helps illegal players more than legit ones.

First, you need to see the fail rate of going from +4 to +5, and how hard it really is.

One friend used 3 astrals going +4 to +5.
Another friend has used 6 astrals, and still has a +4.

Remember, when going for +7

Failing +5 takes it to 4.
Failing +6 takes it to 4.
Failing +7 takes it to 4.

So if 6 astrals can't get you a +5 weapon, how did they afford going +7?

CCF

Most people know about CCF but only use the term to insult others on job death or flame people on the forums, and don't know how it really works.

There are many people on Xian with ALL 10 equipments (armor and jewelry) with astral and +5. There are also a lot of new +7 weapons.

Remember, some items can take 6 astrals and still not get +5.

So I'll tell ya how it works.

They make a level 1 account and give it all of their equipment and weapons.

They purchase and add astrals to the gears as needed. Maybe they added 20 at once, or maybe one at a time.

If on average it took 3 astrals per item, that would be around 30 astrals to +5 everything, if your lucky.

Alternatively, you could do it for other people - and charge them millions in gold.

When they are fully finished with their gears, they reverse the paypal payment with the click of a button. Alternatively, their bank can remove a credit card charge as well.

All of its free. Joymax bans the level 1 account as penalty.

If you think this is a "few rotton eggs" you are painfully mistaken, and blind.

Even if astral had a level restriction, people could use a hacked account or quitting character instead.

Joymax made the item mall untradeable for this reason; but overlooked that you can trade the target items instead. If they got rid of paypal, you could still do it with a credit card.

Theres no real fix for it except:

Remove astral and immortal from the item mall.

But Joymax probobly wouldn't do this, because they still make money on the legit players buying immortal and astral.

Maybe level requirements would curb the ammount of fraud, but still allow them to make money too. That wouldnt be perfect, but it would be better.

The next time you see an item in a stall with 5 remaining astrals, you know how they paid for them.

a way around this could be a system where the item mall items are not given to the buyer right away , but automaticaly put in the bank of the player once the money from cc or paypall has been put on the joymax bank acc
or once the money has been put on the joymax bank acc the player gets an ingame message that his item can be picked up from the item mall into his/her invertory

I agree with Stallowned + Sro should be PayToPlay (Sry kidies, and all ppl who don't want to pay) Maybe they should only make that stable sells monkeys for like 1mil 8)

So then they would just cancel the payment once they pick up the item? Unless I'm missing something, I don't see what your method would do other than slow things down and waste time.

no i dont think they should do that and make it p2p. i think they should make monkeys, squirells, and the wolf for 1 m then make another one that u buy for silk.
like greywolf= gold
whitewolf=silk

and then monkey
idont know some type of monkey= gold
some type of monkey =silk

and silkroad being p2p would turn away alot of players that buy silk occasionally but not on a monthly or weekly basis.

p2p = me leaving for wow
Im not ganna pay a monthy contribution so i can get 0% roleplay in a massive multyplayer online ROLEPLAYING game, 300% endles grinding on pretty boring mobs, crappy Quests ... ow wait , wat quets ?? the only quest like quest is the one with the chinese/europe liquors
And even that Quests is still booring as hell and pretty much unrewarding , considering the fact i can grind more sp in the time it takes me to get the booz the ???? error thats suposedly coused by my uptodate "outdated "vid drivers . and all the botters in the game it self

its the free to play and optional contributoin to joymax true item mall items, and some ingame friends that keeps me playing this game

I agree with your facts Ryoko. But why not have a new solution to this problem like making the level restriction. LvL 8 can buy all lvl astral but lvl 1 can only buy vl 1 astral.

I can see this problem with astral and making the economy extremely inflated. As for myself I have bought about 5 astrals from stall (1st day when it wast tradable) and also bought 6 astrals for for my sos 64 bwo and 5 astrals for y sos 64 spear. 80% of my equipemtn that I +5 I didnt use astral at all. Its possible to do it, jsut take s abit more gold then before.

Bottomline, make astral have a lvl restriction =) I dont think ppl would risk losing a capped character for CCF. It wouldnt stop this problem I dont think but 99% of the problem is solved by jsut putting on lvl restriction

Yup, I totally agree. Think I wasted around 300 silk for astrals and I never got the spear to +5, I said **** it and sold the spear for 10m and bought myself a +5 instead, and I'm never doing alchemy with astral again..

Lol, they would just bot some chars up and ccf on them, since joymax doesn t do a shit about banning the botters

If you leave for WoW, I will go with you.

We can be noobs (^_^) and get cool quests, items, do instances and have fun.

And leave behind the world of botters, CCF and ???? error.

The point is, it would seriously slow them down though. It takes no time at all to make a level 1 character, but could take weeks or a month or more to bot a character up to the level required.

Why stop at level 8? Astral degree 8 requires players level 64. Problem solves.

I'd be happy to see it go pay to play with a monthly fee of say $20 a month with free item mall stuff or item mall stuff bought for gold, I probably spend more than $20 a month anyway and if people leave cuz it was pay to play then that's more bandwidth and less lag for me lol

Besides for people who do buy silk seriously then it'd be probably be cheaper this way anyway.

Agreed.

Gold tickets can given by npcs when you have no quest. And maybe they can have a section on the main page for donations.

If this game goes p2p with all these errors, work-arounds, botters, etc. then it is dead considering that the majority of the players do not buy silk.

It already has AIDS. :(

money already IN the acc of joymax , as in taken out of the paypall acc , cashed ,handled and worked over or how ever it works , and permenetly on the joymax acc , yes this will probbly mean waiting on your items a few day's befor you can pick em up from the mall

I don't know much, well anything about how paypal and bank transfers and all that good stuff work "behind the scenes." Do you? When you buy silk for example, it is automatically put on your account, I thought it was safe to assume that means that the money is Joymax's? How would they know, and even give you the silk for that matter if they don't have the money automatically? Even if it isn't automatic, if you charge back once it's in the account I'm pretty sure that you can get the money back anyway.
Again, I may be completely wrong, which I probably am, but how can I know if you are right?

Anything related to USD and gold/items ingame needs to be banned. It gives advantages to those who are *cough* willing to pay.

As for credit cards you can undo the payment a month after you paid in the first place.
That is because if there really was a payment you didn't authorise you will see it the first time when you get your creditcard bill at the end of the month.. so then you got the chance to tell your creditcard company that the payment was unauthorised and they will not pay.

(That's the way it works anyway the company pays with 2 month delay or something to the companies that charge your credit card - for you it looks as if they are payed instantly, but in fact they are only notified that they will be paid.. that's because the cc-company wants to be sure the payment is legit so they wait with the paying till you got your paperbill and don't complain :) )

Did anybody understand what i wanted to say? .. if not.. language barrier.. lol.

2 guy's in my guild whent to shop , got wow , never seen em in sro sinds

i know the 2 , their brothers , and ive played wow a bid when i was over at one of the 2's house , wow is pretty cool , altho its humor is kinda spoofed from diskworld with a hint of monty phyton and some other famus series and movies but its not bad
It takes a lil getting used to if your into the tolkien kinda fantasy couse blizzard realy did things their way , the elfs still look dumb with those huge ears , but its ignoreble , some ppl call wow a girl game couse of its bigger social aspects , specialy conpaired to sro , but it dus have Quests, and stuff you can only gain true quests , not alway's items.
Things like special acces to underground tunnels etc , its defenetly got more of a rpg elemnt , witch i like alot .
Its realy not a bad game , its just the costs thats kinda draging it down for me , but if i got to pay for sro im outa here and switching to wow

PLUS A CAP RAISE NEW MAPS NEW SKILLS 2 NEW RACES ( yeah 2 beat that joymax ,when is europe comming anyway's ?? 2009 ???)
