People still play either SRO or SRO-R?

I'm looking to get back into the game after many years, but don't really want to download pservers. Is there actual traffic on any of the Joymax versions or is the game basically dead?

iSRO is like that first love you had in high school, it was amazing while it lasted but after awhile you realize she's slowly turning crazy over the years and also doesn't put out anymore.

I joined this forum, cause I played SRO years ago and loved it. Decided to start playing again soon again when I have time. Glad to see people still playing it.

I'm 84 I've been getting taxi's so I can kill the uniqes I've never killed (yarkan solo at 81 in full SOS/moon/Sun+5 gear), really no war left to fight for on the legit side I'll stick around for a month or so but soon I'm going back to wow no bots, no cheats so all in all a better game

I finally managed to kill Yarkan and Isy like two years ago during this dead period of the game. I had almost no chance back the in day with all high lvl botters coming into lower level areas killing the uniques in 2 seconds...

I preferred killing them when high levels challenged you, I used to kill isy a lot at 62-65 competing with 90+ bots It was the thrill finding first and luring off the path

Yea well high level bot players tricked out in maxed gear who also had hacks telling them when and where uniques are going to spawn = 0 chance in hell for me to kill it.....That's what I was dealing it...I literally gave up... The unique would spawn and precisely 2-4 seconds later it was killed... There was no point in trying to compete with that...

While yes if it spawned in the right spot they would kill it instantly but there isnt a hack to tell you where it will spawn or when. Its a random timer server side not client literally impossible to get that information. While i also hated it when a 90+ would beat a level 61 to a isyu kill i was killing isy at level 57 against level 90+ players it took luck for them to spawn in the right spots but it was not impossible.

All this talk about uniques reminds me of the glitch that occurred a couple of times in ISRO where TG and other uniques would spawn all the time. Whenever it died, it would spawn again.
Was so much fun. Got my first TG kill at that "accidental event"

I have no proof of the hack that allowed players to know when and were the unique was going to spawn but it has been an uncontested notion for years... Even if there were no such hacks people seemed to had rough ideas on a window of time and every body already knew the spawn locations (which wasn't many)....You would not be standing at one of these locations by yourself to lure anything off the path on my server.... I hate all you Wizards in berserk mode 
...

I remembered that glitch vividly...Even then it was bad...There were large groups at each and every spawn location....only the capped players were having their names broadcasts on the server....

while i cannot expressivly prove it i understand how things like this work. There are set spawn points, there is a minimum and a maximum time a unique can spawn. But its a random timer and a random location.

the thrill of it. But now most of the competition for them is gone i dont really find it that interesting anymore

well killed isyu solo, yarkan solo and now demon shaitan solo not sure what else is left all the other uniques i dont know jack shit about so have no interest in them. anyone play wow eu servers gona be joining that soonish
