I used to play back in like 2007. I tried logging in a few months ago only to find that server names have all changed. What else is different? I'm gonna assume my character is gone. I used to play on babel.

Your character probably won't be gone, but I'm certain it'll be wiped, meaning no items or gold, and all skills reset.

Private servers are where it happens these days, even though they open and close quite quickly. You might want to check this out:

Unless your account has been banned for inactivitiy, in which case it has been unbanned at some point and there are no characters on it any more.

Because I dislike starting new threads, I decided this will now be an introduction thread. I hope you're okay with this.

I was an active SRO player years ago on Xian. After playing the game for a few weeks I was adopted by the guild called LMS. I left the guild before I reached level 50 (if I remember correctly) and found a new home from the guild BlackHand. My first character was a fire/force blader, I loved it (and still love it). After euro update the characters I started and are worth mentioning, were a warlock/bard and a warrior/cleric.

And the reason I registered on SRF is not that I'd want to play SRO again, but that I miss the people I played the game with.

I honestly doubt that there's anyone on here who still plays the official Silkroad servers. Most people who still play, play on some of the many private servers. The most popular private server right now is Elamidas: http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewtopic ... 5&t=135675

I used to play on Xian as well. That was back in early 2006, though. Can't remember when I switched to a different server, but I played on Xian at last or year or two.

Wow BlackHand....... there is an old guild. Think it will be hard to find any of the original members though.
