Seems like you're all getting your hopes up high, but I hope you DO realize that they just copy/pasted all their videos, screenshots, art etc. from www.sronew.com?

If anything, jcplanet is the international publisher of Typhoon Games, who created www.sronew.com. I'm in doubt, though, as they haven't even gotten through fixing all the bugs on their own version of the game yet.

So I've done some digging and it appears that this game isn't related to Joymax's Silkroad Online at all. It's based on a 1999 game published by a Korean publisher named UNiCO Electronics. The game was of the same name (or 실크로드의 전설 to give it the Korean name) and a sequel was planned but never made.

I'm pretty sure this is going to be a Korean grindfest MMO but it's certainly not the Silkroad 2 that Joymax were talking about years ago. If I were you I wouldn't get my hopes up too high.

I've made an account but haven't received the verification email... Also we need to work out what server we'll be on. There are 2 - Constantinople and Persepolis.

The way I figure it is this, this'll either be the best or worst thing to come along in a long time. Either way, you can be damned sure I'ma at least try it out.

Didn't you try the beta of http://www.sronew.com already? It is the same game, it seems.
The game was laggy and missing a lot. An English version will surely make it easier, though.

That jcplanet site is just as bad/worse than most private sro server sites.. Wut?

Where do you download from?
Version on gamershell and other sites is 2gb and on their site full client is 4gb

Some people think it is, but I disagree. It's not being developed or published by Joymax and they haven't acknowledged Joymax at all.

They posted on their forum saying that Legend of Silkroad is an official global version of SRONEW which is produced by Silent Typhoon Studio (and that in itself is a game based on the history of Silkroad but is not related to Joymax's Silkroad Online at all).

So no, I don't think it's the Silkroad we all know.
