This looks like a completely different game... I am not seeing any remnants of the original Silkroad in it.(Which would warrant calling it Silkraod "2").... If this is version 2 it's a step backwards because the original SRO looks better and plays better.....

For example why does it take so long to kill one mob?...especially for that wiz...where is the AOE attacks to take out 3-4 mobs simultaneously? He's lvl 34 and fighting lvl 26 mobs and he has to apply two hits to a mob to kill it. I think we are being trolled....at least I hope so...

currently playing ff14 arr, this feels hugely dated and i would evwn argue the classic touch to sro1 beats this hands down.

it doesn't look like a sequal to sro1, i don't even think joymax 'whoever owns it these days' truly even knows what the core player from oldschool isro wants, ie people like us! I don't think this is what it'd look like if they made a game to follow up to what we loved from sro1.

Maybe that has to do with the fact that this new game actually isn't developed by Joymax, but rather the Chinese company who ran Csro.

It certainly seems different, and the UI kinda seems what I was hoping it wouldn't look like, rather then a nice simple, efficient feel, and maybe its lag or video or w/e but it seems a bit sluggish.

Still looks interesting tho, and the pet thing too(minus human looking pets). Also wonder about the job/pk system, and those npc trader things tho.

Killing those lower mobs seemed to give him fairly quick exp still tho.

That's because if they made a game based on what you guys want, it would be an even worse game.

This looks like a step into the modern MMO market. I'll be trying it out, and I hope the PVP is actually worth it as well as some good end game content or it's not lasting.

You look at this game with its current graphics and call it a step into the modern MMO market?... You must be high on meth....

Graphics are only part of it. The animations look beefier and more up to date with current MMOs, the UI looks like it took pieces of SWTOR and Diablo 3 for the action bars and the HP/MP status bars, there are instant cast skills which means no more static boring PVP.

A lot of it looks like huge upgrades and I can't wait to try the full version.

Yes, already mentioned it in the other thread. That could very well be the case and I actually hope it is, then we can play both versions. :)

TBH the background graphics look like a shittier version of SRO (like on low settings) while the character looks like something off of Perfect World. HP bar looks horrible.
I'll see how it is but yeah, the graphics definitely looks shit compared to modern video games, even compared to SRO 1 since atleast that had a consistent color palette..

not bad, i cant wait to try it, the game looks like it still has the silkroad feel but with wasd? movement and jumping. the character hp mp bars looks very simple like from super street fighter while the hotkeys look like classic sro. i cant wait to see an sro2 vid of a melee class.

I'm still a bit skeptical about the entire concept of this game not being the real Silkroad 2.
For example, why does the old csro website point to this new game?

We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.

Tbh, the movement looks like Guild Wars 2 and so does Hp/Mp...

Sorry, it looks horrible. In my mind I thought they would do some kinda "remix" to the old graphics and towns. And still keep the original touch of SRO 1, but just an updated and more stable version.

This takes me even further to even come back to sro, although I miss this game.
