Silkroad Tavern - Anyone remember?

Anyone remembers silkroad tarvern?
http://www.silkroadtavern.com/I remember I was in high school back then and during computer classes, I went on Silkroad Tarvern to read the guides. And after school I would be so excited to go home to play SRO.
I just saw Silkroad Tarvern today again and it's dead with lots of spams. I just feel sad man...

Yeah, I remember the website.
I thought it was taken offline quite some time ago, but it seems like it's not. It might as well be though, as the forum is completely dead.
I never really used Silkroadtavern, as I found Silkroadforums to simply have a better and cleaner design.
I did browse the forum about a year ago, though, looking through really really old-school screenshots and discussions, which really made me want to play Silkroad again.

Oh shit... that's my old stumping grounds for SRO related information and forum discussions...I was there for a while before I came here... I left because it was starting to die... LOL..was checking out some of my posts from a long time ago...so much fun memories...the forum discussions highlighted a lot of the game's problems even back then (2006)...Good times...Nice trip down memory lane...

Yeah Tavern was the go too forum during Alpha, back when everyone was saying how full strength fire glaive would be the best build ever.......
This place became more popular because it was more welcoming.

I use to be on Roseguru, which then created and posted about SilkroadTavern I think, thats how I found out about Sro when it came out, so I went to SRT. Then eventually that douche wren banned me and I just kept remaking accounts and posting lol.
I would be multiple different blankJackal names, then eventually just BannedJackal with roman numerals until they shut off user registration for a while lol
.
Think I was banned for calling wren power hungry for banning other people.

They had excellent thieving guides with excellent point maps. From lv 42 you can do "spawning" to low level traders. I was so pumped to level up fast to get to lv 42.

Crazy to see there are still people on this forum. Damn 2007 is better than 2013 so far.

Just a power hungry mod that isn't worth talking about...there were far more interesting people on there than wren... loads of closet botters who thought highly of themselves and their guild/union...made for interesting discussions... It was still a good place though because tons of people posted really good information about the game....A real nice old school community...

I used to check pk2 edits there. Then I found SRF with better tuts.
Remember when SRF's General Discussion used to have tons of fun topics where each time you hit f5 the thread you replied goes 2nd page?

i was using srt before srf. infact, i think i was browsing srf as a guest for almost a year before i even registered! i guess even srf will be gone eventually!

I went bow, glavie, fire, ice, light, and force on my very first char....leveled to 25 before finding out about stat points...and didn't scroll down to realize the skill tree is longer than it was...yeah...quite nubtorious...

My very first char was an archer with both int and str. I went with bow, glaive (for hp), ice, fire, light, and force as well! Leveled it to 38 before starting a pure strength char.
I found a sos level 1 bow on my very first day of playing Silkroad as well by the way. Too bad I sold it to the NPC because I didn't know what to do with it

Good old times of silkroad tavern...lots of early athens drama, flaming botters..ehh those were fun days. I remember checking it few years ago and it was already dead back then.

Wren was a complete dumbass who banned people on ROSEGuru if they admitted they had duped items in beta. Something that was basically impossible to NOT have. When I discovered SRF I said bye to their whole forum system. (They had/have forums for a lot of MMO's)
