Salvation back with more population(with jangan and dw not hotan)
also with shipwreck dropping egy weapons not coins, no roc/immo sets, battle arena and trading being the main thing.

1. A managing company that is not corrupt and will enforce their own rules/will not turn a blind eye just because of money
2. Active GMs
3. Linear instead of exponential leveling requirement(or whatever Salvation had was good)
4. No server traffic
5. Greater account security

Changes made.
I don't want a corporate run game I want a game that is run by another gamer like you or me.

IMO, SRO was perfect in terms of content up to 100 cap. Just ban the bots and reduce the pay-to-win things (like prem+ and devil spirit) and the game is flawless.
After 100 cap, I didn't play so I don't know what it was like, but the whole alchemy thing for higher degrees where you had to have a +7 (i think) to upgrade to next degree is just dumb. (im not even sure what i'm saying, correct me if i'm wrong).

Perfect SRO for me would have no emphasis on leveling up...you could reach cap in a month....place the emphasis on skills...let us grind to improve our skills....They call grinding mobs "training" for a reason so it should be treated as such (training to improve skills)....Allow us to gain skill exp points from pvping/guild pvp/CTF/Fort wars/etc (maybe not as much as pve but still a significant amount)....Keep the triangular conflict system alive and the way it was from the beginning.... Add avatars that people would love to wear...(Let people decide more often what they'd want to wear)....
Introduce a faction system where an all out server war is waged every two weeks lasting for 1 hour (attack the other faction wherever you see them..cept inside towns ofcourse)... alternate it with fortress wars so that every week something major is happening. Add different looking weapons and gear in the game...every lvl 70 shouldn't have to be using the same looking bow or wear the same outfit...

There is no such thing as a perfect silkroad server. Every SRO server available atm would need massive improvements to be considered perfect.
I would like something like TSRO before the IP-ban. It used to be so much fun, but the botters just got us owned and ruined it for everyone to the point, where we couldn't even continue to play on the server. Even if you bypass the ban via proxy you would just get perma-banned. The legit community there was just the best, which i ever experienced. Unfortunately most people just gave up after the IP-ban or played on many different servers after that....

Lower exp. requirements for leveling and remove skill points and gold drops completely. New skills should be bought with gold. Needing money for skills would boost trading and make triangular conflict the most important aspect of the game.

Good quests with good rewards, Pay once for the game, Active GMs, real events that are more personal. Easier leveling (I mean way easier, like WoW easy.) More publicity in the US so more people would play it. SECURITY! Better customer support! Joymax had a golden opportunity to come out of this like Blizzard did but they messed up ended up like every other crappy F2P MMORPG owning company

There's no such thing as a perfect MMO for that matter.

As far as i know, there is not even 1 truely legit server at the moment (well, maybe KSRO and JSRO, but good luck playing there). No Myth Online doesn't count. From what i heard bots are not forbidden there.

I read it.

Me and a couple of others have been doing our server for quite a long time. It is almost done(has been for quite a long time already), just need to pay for the server somehow.

I see like 30-40 people here posting something, and that's not enough for a server. I played Salvation while there were 30-40 people, and it was kinda boring. That's why I said he must be stuck in 2009-2010, because that's when SRF's community was big enough for a kick-ass server.

For SRO
70 cap
shitload of skills & content from later caps
balanced (but not in the aspect of 1v1 pvp, but as in every class as a strength/weakness)
Active GMs
Shitload of traffic of legits only
Const/Sam/HT/DW/JG
2nd gen triangular conflict (but modified)
Salvation attempted as it but could never take off, mainly cause of the lack of traffic (basically everyone sucking up to 1 union) & shitty balancing attempts (people would QQ and Fly would comply)

The core mechanics themselves are boring and not appealing compared to today's game. Can't believe you still can't awsd. The concept itself is great though, the whole clashing of cultures during the silkroad era that is.

Even back then, I don't think it would have been possible. There are just too many opinions about, how a decent server should look like. For example I would never play on a server with rates higher than 10X. In fact i think the best would be a server with the original rates, just without bots and a decent english speaking population.
But recently i don't really play SRO anymore anyway and even with a suitable server i probably wouldn't return. I am just quite busy at the moment and in my free time i usually do other things nowadays.

There is no way to make Silkroad perfect without doing a complete overhaul to the game.
imo, the perfect MMO would have a subscription fee, would cater to the top tier of players first and foremost, wouldn't be anything at all like Silkroad, and would pretty much be a WoW clone.
If WoW were to revise their business plan to listen to the top tier of players over anything else, it would be the perfect game.

Well, they could start by making the leveling not so hard, and the gold coin things in SroR work nicely, just make a currency tab for them. New interface and chat wouldn't hurt, just hate the fact that bottom exp bar presents only 10% of total exp. Oh and, less farming of SP ofc, not too less though.

This might be a bit off-topic, but I just want to throw it in here:
I really hope that SIlkroad 2 will still have the Skill Point system instead of the "purchase skills for gold" system that so many other MMO's seem to love so much.
I really find the "purchase-skills-for-gold" system horrible, and it encourages gold-bots even more!
I also hope that they keep the "1-70 without gold" system, which they introduced for SroR. It works quite well, and it does not encourage bots.

I found the perfect MMO to be Tera Online, it's like Silkroad, but on steroids and about 100x better. Seriously, if you're interested in a new MMO, you might want to try this one if you're a seasoned player of Silkroad.
