As part of our goal to provide a better and clean gaming environment to our users, we are implementing a stern policy to combat usage of illegal programs.
We, GMs, have already started the checking bot users in-game, and violators were given corresponding sanctions.
Thus, we are reminding our users to read and understand Silkroad-R Bot Policy and we strongly suggest to our players not to use any illegal programs.
1. What are illegal programs?
Illegal programs refers to applications that modifies the official game client without legitimate permission which enables players to log multiple characters, do auto hunting, auto pots, auto log in, auto spam and other similar actions.
These programs creates an imbalance in the game, disrupts game environment and cause abnormal occurrences in the game system.
2. Illegal Program Policy
Our policy called 'The 3 Strike-out system' has been applied. When illegal program use is detected, the account will be blocked according to the following rules:
- Start date : Mar 08, 2010
- Punishment Target : Illegal Program Users
The above policy has been designed to give players a chance to redeem themselves and correct their illegal activities.
3. Permanent Block for repetitive offenders
A permanent block punishment will be given to players who will repeatedly violates our policy against use of Illegal Programs.
Note that Silk purchase will not prevent spare the illegal program users from punishment. Punishment will be given according to the 3 strike out system, regardless of the status of the user accounts.
The List of abusive players will also be occasionally posted on the Official website. To view the list of recently blocked players, please click the following link: Banned User List
Rest assured that our efforts will surely continue as we look forward to a more happy and bot-free Silkroad community.
We will try our very best until our players will be satisfied with our services.
Thank you.
Actually they already banned a couple of guys with silk, wonder if they will reach the 3rd offense with them though.
Well we knew that 1 offense ban wasn't working, 3 offense seems decent, wondering if this will be any better on the long run.

Lots of ppl on Roc Mt got banned for 3 days dome days back. The GM was wearing a thief suit and using an alias and came on a horse so ppl wouldn't find out he was a GM.

Lolz i like that Gm, a smart move
Ouch, i read something on another forum
also, with improvement of our-lovely-bot DC when gm is near, it's no problem for us to go afk whole day, since it detects gm even with hunter/thief suit, which was the trick they were using to ban players ^^
Yep. I read about that improvement. They didn't have it before, hence the big ban list.

This is already a sign shit's going downhill. iSRO had the same thing. It went from Ban if caught botting -> 3 warning policy -> Stop giving a shit.

You used to get blocked forever if the GM could tell that you were botting. Logging off would avoid that long before their anti-bot campaign policy. You could also get banned someone had proof that the person bought his items during 90cap.

They will keep this up for a week, maybe two. Then it'll be back to doing nothing. Also from what I remember that option has been in some bots for a very long time o.O

why is the 3 strike system only applied now? why not when sror started? why 3 strikes and not insta ban if caught botting or at least insta char deletion? why is the gm talking to you guys because he obviously has more important things to do then sit of his Farking ass and NOT ban botters.

I hope they are for reel this time cuz it feels to me like the last 3 times where they ban poeple for 2-3 months a new update comes and they stop again.

QFT. SAME EXACT SHIT EVERY YEAR. Don't know why ppl still "hope" that it will last this time. They always do some banning during the competition, when it's over, they go back to letting everyone bot. It's only a matter of time until they're like, **** SRO-R. Let's open SRO-S, supreme SRO, "no botters there" unlike iSRO and SRO-R which became overrun with bots.

I think they would ban alot more bots if legits made them the same amount of money. They just get rid of some random bots every now and then a silk buyer. Cant say i blame them

the chance of legits making them more money is far higher then a bot making them more money...
8 legits all buying premiums is more likely then 8man bot party owned by 1 guy.
but because there is only about 12 legits left on isro....
