So I'm making a warrior/cleric (2h) and am just entering the 40s.
So far I've had Light Armor, my thinking being that basically all STR-based chinese chars choose garment for defence against nukers (I think that's why atleast) so I went LA to avoid getting 1hit by mages.
Well I'm thinking of changing to Heavy Armor (only because it looks better, LA is UGLY lol) like most warriors/clerics and I'm just curious.
How come chinese Str chars choose garment but Europe warriors prefer HA?
Warrior/Cleric - HA/LA?

Euro prefers HA because HA simply as you said, it looks better..
I use LA as a warrior / cleric bcuz our main problem is magical defence.. We allready have enough phy defence. The wise choise would be LA, the fashion''y'' choise would be HA..
Then again, why not robe set? right?
I'd like to know the diffrens between LA / robe for warriors even anyone care to explain.

i use heavy armour as a warrior warlock simply because you can notice a huge difference in defense and the amount of damage you take pve and pvp. what people dont understand is against an int, its kill or be killed. kill them before they kill you and you're fine, you have the hp to tank them. the mag def wont really lessen the damage much but the phy def helps loads. if you look at chinese defense skils notice they give u way more mag def in fire shield than phy def in ice shield. why? because u need more of a numerical value in magic def to notice the same change in phy. trust me u will not regret going HA. especially aginst other full str chars it really is a benefit to have that extra def.

Thanks!
Re: Warrior/Cleric - HA/LA?
I actually prefer Light Armor as warrior/cleric, but it's probably also a matter of opinion. My main reason is not the better magical defence though, it's a factor, but in my opinion just not the most important one. The main reason, why i used LA as warrior/cleric, was simply due to playing as cleric quite a lot and playing cleric in LA is a lot better than playing in HA. With LA you'll have less MP consumption, significantly better defence (in cleric mode) and a lot better buffs. I also never had major problems with other pure STR characters in PVP, but we were mainly PVPing together as an euro pt with a cleric and usually at least 1 bard (in most cases actually 2). I can't say too much about 1 vs. 1 PVP, as i am just not interested in it and i also had an underfarmed pure 1H/cleric warrior. Most of my attack skills were not maxed on my current lv.

Hmmm... That makes a good point aswell...
I was a bit worried the other day when I hit lvl 40 and could barely cast Recovery Division cause it was almost more than my max mana...
