So I guess this is as good time as ever to start this thread Ive been thinking about....

I use to play isro, I started to almost as soon as it opened some years ago, I fell in love with this game, I have tons of good memories, but eventually I was less and less active, I still have my Account there and will never give it away or delete it, but as I said I am no longer active in isro.

The main reasons why I am inactive are:
- Its a bloody grind fest (too time consuming to level up)
- I do not believe you should have to spend real currency to be well equipped
- its a bloody bot fest out there, and you simply can not compete with a program running 24/7

There are other reasons but those are the main ones, I guess.

And like many of us who become inactive, I could not resist the Silk Road, but I did something I had not done in all my years of playing this game, I joined a private server about 2 months ago, and initially I loved it, I was on every single day for hours and hours, I looked forward to playing, but as I have come to realize, as Ive read on this forum its a usual thing, private servers start to "suck".
In my best opinion it is the management and executive decisions that are made.
For instance, the cap level, the skills and what to change and not change, the maps/areas to be opened, what to do about the extra stuff added like Forgotten World, Capture the Flag and so on.

Now, to get to the main part of this thread, experiencing a private server for the first time, I realized it could be great.
Yes yes, I know, I know, Ive only played one private server, but I have extreme confidence I could make/manage one, if not "the" best private servers, and I say this without arrogance. The only problem is I have no programing skills at all, none.
I honestly have no idea on how these private servers are made possible, no clue how to make a site or forum, but as I have said I have extreme confidence in my self and my ability to make the best decisions possible to make the best experience possible for all SilkRoad lovers.

So my true aim in making this thread is to network and find people who would help me make this possible (and for those who wonder, I would provide the financial part of this adventure, not "just" be the one making executive decisions)

sincerely -

Salvation has Fly as a GM so its mostly pure fail there now. The server is trying to keep people, but more and more are leaving every week.

Touche, but the server still seems dead, and the triangular is still pretty much dead.

why is it a problem if fly is a gm or not? if they ban the botters and keep it a legit community i dont care if its just me playing the damn game as long as its a legit community.

Silkroad was amazing before they implemented Item Mall. Item Mall ruined this game. You need to pay in order to level, get gear, and win. It's pretty ridiculous. But yeah, Joymax is a shit tier company, if they sold silkroad to another company it would probably be better, but there's no saving this game anymore.

lolURm4d cause instead of sucking up to Infensus, Fly made getting BA gear more dependent on jobbing for $$ and less of a grind and increased drop rate to boost the economy.
Ofc the whole infensus uni quit and then came right back the next day calling it "miscommunication" loooooooooooooooooool
