So, this was posed on the Silkroad-R website:
Greetings to all Silkroad Online and Silkroad-R players!

First of all, we, Joymax, would like to thank you for your continuous support to our game.

Since the start the OBT of our latest game, Silkroad-R, many of our players were curious and held questions regarding the Silkroad-R and Silkroad Online. Thus, we are taking this opportunity to answer some of our players’ queries and share our plans.

Silkroad-R is completely separate from the original Silkroad Online. We will keep Silkroad-R and Silkroad Online as separate games, and we will continue the service of both as we move forward into the future.

We have not forgotten about one of the biggest concerns of our players: bots. We will make sure to keep them out of the game and continue our efforts to provide a fun and bot-free environment to our players. Other major changes to be applied were improvements in the leveling up rates and character skill balance. It will be much easier for new players to begin in playing the game.

So, what becomes of Silkroad Online? Will players be forced to move to a new server and start all over? Fret not, because we are keeping Silkroad Online as it is!

Silkroad Online will not be kept in the dark. We will continue to provide regular updates and maintenance to stabilize the system along with variety of events to heighten the fun and strengthen our current community.

Curious about our newest items and contents for the big updates? You can find all the information of our latest installments on the main website!

In the near future, both Silkroad Online and Silkroad-R will be provided with improvements such as new contents, new events tailored for each game, and a new simplified system for our players. We hope that you will show your continued support for both our current and future games, including the soon-to-be released web browser game, Silkroad-W, and eventually, Silkroad Online 2.

To all our beloved Silkroad players, know that Silkroad exists because of your interest and loyalty to the game. We deeply thank you for your dedication and we would like you to know that we listen to our players. Your feedback and participation is what makes the Silkroad better, and we will do our best to work for more game improvements.

We hope that you enjoy all of our newest installments and we wish you a Happy New Year!

Sincerely yours,

Silkroad Staff

Key points:
-Silkroad-R and Silkroad will continue to receive updates and be kept as two seperate games (as we already know)
- Even more promises about bot bannings.
- Silkroad-R has nothing to do with Silkroad 2, and Web Silkroad (Silkroad-W) will launch before Silkroad 2

Oh, and on a side-note. Did anyone notice how greatly Joymax improved their gramma?

Well it isn't that hard to hire someone that knows how to write properly.

But that is surely an improvement.

About the rest, it is much easier to say than to do, we will see what will happen.

Ill come back if it happens. But they don't have much time left because bots will be/are hitting 70 soon. Not getting my hopes high, but we'll see.

I think you mean

WeMade has actually been losing money so they're going to take this merge or whatever the hell it was seriously. They were paying wemademoon an excessive amount of money(To be exact $649,953 USD for 3 years which his contract expires next year) to play Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 2. I only know they're losing money through knowing that he's a SC2 player.

Like I said this Silkroad R is a publicity stunt to gain back the users trust, because they see something in Joymax.

They have been Saying crap about bot banning for years and still don't have an effective means of dealing with them... don't hold your breathe.

Definitely! It seems that WeMade is somewhat more serious about this merge than Joymax previously were. But well, that's a good thing :)

Or maybe they're just updating the game with some minor skill changes again :)

Bots or no bots, if you guys want to change anything in Silkroad, this is really your chance. For once Joymax is actually listening to what the people suggests.
