I had been saving gold to see if something changes soon, but inflation has skyrocketed since 12d came out. I might as well just waste all my gold and quit now. The 5b I had saved up is pretty much worthless now...

I dont understand how some of you have so much gold, when especially since Ive been playing this game since the beginning.

It doesn't depend on how long you've played it. I've played from the beginning as well, but i can say that i'm pretty poor.
There are different ways of getting rich, the easiest and fastest being the purchasing gold way.

I have thought about the idea, but then I drink some bleach to teach my self a lesson about considering buying gold for a game.
I rather be poor and bloated with bleach then to have several billions like some.
