Wizard Bard vs Wizard Cleric

Hey guys, I have a dilemma. I dont know what subclass to choose for wizard. I just want the best one where I dont die every time I leave Hotan. Bard protects you from general mobs which is great, but what happens when those champions or giants come along? Cleric heals you. I just want the best subclass that I can grind with without having to worry about losing more exp from dying than I actually gain.

Ive seen so many videos of wiz clerics taking down giants with ease but even with all my cleric buffs, i die even with berserk mode on. Im lvl 58 fighting lvl 54 giant.

What is your gap?
Seems like you got Npc gear, so it won't be that easy with you.

0 gap and im using lvl 56 blue staff instead of lvl 52 npc staff

He meant gear too.
With white gear unpimped, you can have like 2k hp. With pimped blue str int hp mp etc. You can have like 5k hp. Gear helps a lot.

Yeah except that I only have 4m cash
. trying to sell an old wolf i dont use anymore. lvl 48 for 6.5m. how much does a full set of armor typically cost?

Level 48 wolf is worth about 1.5m... Make your own set, take pieces you have and add str, int, hp, and mp

lol
my character is the spear nuker. the other post was for my brother who is a str bow. i also have a wizard that i used to play on. lvl 58 but every time i get a few %exp i die and lose it all. done with wizards lol

If you have up to date npc gear AND accessories you should do fine on mobs a few lvl's lower. Especially with cleric subclass. Also don't use LC while grinding.

Grind on greens. A level 58 wiz with recovery division, healing cycle, and bless shouldn't die to a level 54 giant. It depends on what you have skilled in cleric.
If nothing else and you're desperate not to die, switch to cleric, the shield takes a lot less damage. Or put up earth barrier.
Ditto what Moshe said, don't use LC/LT unless you really need to, and you shouldn't need it on mobs 4 levels lower.
