Give me a reason why people still play this game, i am excluding all the botters and zombies camping at their moms basements, which would be 0.0000000001 % ?

Last time i checked, it was all about ++++++++++ Gear, spending buckets of cash every month to be the 'best' and to be the first one to reach levels.

Why still play this game full of bots, Turks (No offence bros) and the horrid grindfest, when we have stuff like Forsaken World, Runes of Magic, Aion etc etc.

And yes im only 1/4 trolling.

No really, why do people still play this game ?

I love to grind i love the guild i'm in if your in a Good comunity ( a legit one ) its quite pleasent to play this game

This. Having grind pts with your legit union and guild mates is really nice to relax at the evening. Also i like to beat the botters in Battle Arena and at Fortress War with our union mates.

I for one never got into a different MMO because I cba to relearn all the skills/gear/maps/quests and what ever that new game has.

Its not like there is that much people still playing it. Most bots and dont really care about the game much. Spending most of their time emptying their storages...

Dont listen to those saying they love the grind, either crazy or they are stuck in some kind of trap ("can't leave the game because I put so much time in it, man i cant leave all those bills of gold behind and that uber staff!")

As you can see from forums here, even where there is a new level cap and big update, they are still prettu much empty.

Lets hope 120 cap and games like Rift, and those coming like GW2, SWTOR, D3 will eventually give the final blow to SRO

Its people like you I don't get. You're in a Silkroad forum telling people not to play Silkroad? You're either addicted to it yourself and cannot leave or you have some kind of mental deficiency. I'm leaning towards the latter. People enjoy playing this game whether you do or not. Personally I think this game has the best PVP hands down, this is why I still play, and I have played many MMOs (nearly 1000 hours of WoW for example).

Anyway I come here one every few months because I did enjoy this game a lot but didnt log in maybe a year. Just wanted to see what was in that new legend thats all, then I saw this thread.

I hope JM changed whole PVP since i last played because I dont see how this could be the best PVP (1-2-3) repeat * 100

yep they added WASD based controls,jumping, a combo system, skill shots, and they now regularly balance classes.....oh wait thats every other mmo.
6 years still basically same pvp system.

edit: sorry wait they did remove capes after 5 years. damn huge improvement.

partying is good when you have good players...

esro lvling past lvl 90 is still difficult because there are just so many retards that dno how to play...

its hard to get past lvl 90 if you are anything but a warrior or a bard, because those 2 classes are pretty much expected to go afk and get plvled til 90 at least -.-

so... if you have a group of friends who actually know how to play? then sro is easy and isnt a grind fest! =)

I play because... I quit my job and I'm waiting for college to start. Oh and all my friends have wifes so I has friends on Silkroad that say,"yarim saatirr ugrasiom." <-- guy from my guild just said that. Lol. Oh and I'm going to start playing heros of Newearth more thank Silkroad now most likely.

This. It takes years to get good at a game. Get the money, the gear, the level, learn everything there is to know about it. I played for 4 years and understand why so many people still play. Despite all its pitfalls, if you can get past these, fundamentally it is an awesome game. More importantly, it is addictive. I however could not get passed the pitfalls. It just wasn't worth it anymore, the grinding for hours a day just to have 0.05% to show for it. I quit 1 year ago and I've never looked back. I've never touched another MMO since. It was fun at the time, but never again.

I personally retired from this game due to its grindy ways, but it was fun while it lasted cause it was my first MMO and its Open World.
Theres new top games like vindictus,dragon nest and the upcoming C9,Terra and Blade & soul MMO's coming out soon on the game market.

I guess one of the top reasons why ppls still play this game is because its open world.
