Best graphics card for silkroad

I've visited Jangan cave for the first time since I started playing Silkroad.
I ran at 3-4 fps because the view distance can't be adjusted and it's set on its max.
same for flame mountain, but at least it's playable there.
So My budget is low for a fancy super graphics card, what's the cheapest graphics card that can make silkroad run fine with max graphics settings or at least max view distance.
I have Intel P4 LGA 3.2/1 Mhz, 2G ram[dual channel], Intel GMA950

anything nvidia will do but make sure its decent. with the technology now a days even the shittiest of cards will do really well. think about the best card for sro when sro came out and think about the technology diff. the best card back then is 1 of the worst now.. and prolly cheap as dirt. u can prolly get a card 2x better for a still cheap price

Dont lie
I have gtx 560 ti super overclocked which is like 800% faster than your card and I can't run detailed shadows (
http://www.hwcompare.com/8883/geforce-g ... tx-560-ti/)
To run sro decently pretty much any modern card will run on medium/high.
My suggestions:
- ATI Radeon 5770 (Can get for about $90)
- Nvidia 450 GTS (~$100-$100)

Probably sarcasm. Everyone knows the detailed shadows is bugged and just eats up your memory.

The new On-boards aren't as bad anymore and can run most games >30 on lowest settings now. They still suck though compared to a dedicated.
I only have a Geforce 8600 GT atm, but I could run SRO fairly high without lag. You can get that for like $50 now though.

My PCIE slot is crap now, no longer works so my 9400gt nvidia with 1gb dedicated no longer works...LONG LIVE ONBOARDS, I can still play most games on low settings

8500gt or 8600gt both are nice! if you can buy a 8800 or ATI 4670 you will run SRO pretty well!
P.D: i use a shitty onboard, Ati Xpress 200M 256MB... at least i got Pentium D (2 cores)

8800s don't really exist anymore buddy. Unless I suppose you buy a used one.

You only have 1?! That sucks. Most come with 2 now.

well, i'm running on a nvidia geforce fx 5700LE (256mb), which is uhm... pretty old afaik. I can run sro on high detail, max sight range, as long as i don't use bloom effect etc. imo it looks better without that anyway.

Your graphics card does not dictate whether or not you can use detailed shadows or not. I have a 570 and I can turn them on with no lag at all. Also those two cards you listed are overkill for SRO. I had >60 FPS with an 8600 gt on a Pentium 4 which was ages ago. You can pick up something like a 250 gtx for 40$ on sale and play it on max easily.

I got ATI 5145 1GB and SRO runs great with everything max, circle shadows and bloom off cuz those are the least needed.

As a habit, I always run stuff on low.. then I remember my card can run most games on at least medium-high with >=60 fps. When I change it up, the game looks so gorgeous I get stuck back on it for a couple weeks lol.

They're talking about running it on max, with more than 10-15 fps. There is no way in hell, that 5700LE can get even close to all max, and still have more than 30fps.

5770
dont buy older nvidias since the 8600 series is bugged (except 8600gts) and you need to bake (literally) the 8800's for them to work properly, you can however get a low end 4xx card or take one of the older ati (now AMD) cards like the 5770 which is epic price/watt/performance kekeke!

I find that anything with 512 MB dedicated is enough. Anything less is a lil bit lagy. Anything more just about the same.
