"There is a rising menace trying to consume all that is right and fair in Silkroad, stealing from its majestic lands and the people that are striving to make their world better. This evil has made something to disrupt balance of nature and tempted a lot of adventurers to abandon their righteous path. The GMs have found out that this evil has created zombies and planted them among the Silkroad citizens, parasites that are being controlled like puppets to do their masters bidding. This creatures’ move in a same path, they do not respond to other people and they just seem to ignore anyone they see or meet on the road. They roam the fields hacking on monsters all day and night but not showing any signs of tiring nor even the desire to need for a rest. You can see them being put down by stronger monster, but after a while they will just return and start doing their non-stop mechanical activity once again. Some are in towns standing on a single place staring with blank expressions in their face doing things only they and their masters could know. They flock in towns and Cities making life hard for citizens and honest merchants to do their trade.

As response to the menace a dark keep was made, a prison fitting for empty animated creatures, a prison to contain and punish zombies and make them learn that their dark deeds have dark consequences. And so we name this impregnable prison the Death’s Cage, where the prisoners of the dead shall be shackled and left to repent for their sins against the people of Silkroad.

Run from your evil deeds, repent your sins or you will be one of the prisoners of the dead!"

sounds like an easy way for higher lvls to lvl up more... so sounds like a possibility

I'm slightly confused, they are talking about putting botters in a "death cage" and not banning them?

So if you bot you get to go to an awesome event by the sounds of it lol.

well ive seen bots around and no1 has global'd about anything happening.. so so far... nothing?

there are still cave bot partys and takla makan doesnt have a single solo grinder online atm xD

This was implemented in kSRO awhile back. Basically it's not really an event. If the GM catches you botting, they send your character to the prison area. You have a timer you must wait. You can't PK, can't return scroll, use any items really until the time is up. This works for them since you have to be online and wait it out. So server = full = money.

This is just a fail event. Only Joymax could make a "fake" punishment for botters an event... sigh.

I remember all the big arguments years ago on this forum with some people trying to rationalize why joymax couldn't get rid of botting and how hard it is for joymax to deal with the issue and blah blah blah blah...where those people at now? what do they say now? If GMs have time to dick around anf jail botters they can surely perma ban them.

I wonder, what will bot do if it gets teleported to the prision area? O_o If he can't use return scroll, so he just stands there, right? I'm guessing than it will be some sort of punishement to them.. But really... Why did they just done that? Or is this another fail thing they just did...?

Go to the GM Lounge and click on Prisoner of the Dead Event post, there you have to write some sort of cheer in comments I think.. LOL.... that's just too stupid

i think it will be mainly for lower lvl gold bots and people chillin near consignment. as for higher lvl players. i wouldnt bite the hand that feeds me >< im 100% sure joymax wont either

Well the thing is if they did start to ban bots at an earlier cap the came could still be 'alive'. Instead you had a shitty staff running the game having no idea and let it continue. Why? Probably because they were cheap to hire an actual staff. Now with WeGame or whatever the hell it's called they grabbed a staff, but what can you do when the majority of your users are botters? Ban them all? Nonsense. Ban a few? Sure why not. There is still an autoban system in place whenever it detects wrong packets. It shows some presence still.

They had to put their foot down far earlier, but Joymax had an incompetent staff when the time was needed. WeGame is actually trying, but the problem is.. it's just too late. What can they really do?

I'd say the most important time when a staff was needed was 80cap. Though going up til 100cap could have still 'saved' the game. 110 is just far too late. 12D items just slaughter any hope.

If you were WeGame what would you do? What can you do?

So.. today i thought id log on SRO.. talk to some people on vent since it was late at night (bored)
Knowing my luck i logged in at the right time. There was a GM online.. hunting bots.
First of all i saw globals being spammed by one of my friends (name blocked)




After awhile he was sent to prison.. this is when i told my friends to stop botting but they wouldnt listen to me.. so i globaled one of their names =)



Here is the information he gave me.. some of it is in the pic above and some i didnt take pics.
- First 1008 people to sign up to 120cap beta will be chosen. Its not random like Joymax said.
- Time in prison = 4hours.. it might go up every time you get sent back in.
- The only thing you can do in prison is walk around and talk in normal chat and PM.. not sure about guild or union.
- I asked the GM if you can get banned forever from the prison if you go in there too many times. He said he doesnt want to spoil it.. so i take that as a yes. You will get banned forever if you go to prison X amount of times.
- We have to wait for the announcement of 12D to find out what the 12D alchemy system is like --- He wouldnt tell me ingame.
- The GM said they are trying their best to get the game back how it used to be.. but they need help from the community.
- He said that the email support is not automated.. its just they get the same question in so many times that they have a premade reply that they use to answer those questions.---- True? I don't know... some of the replies iv seen are human though.



End result... We got about 10 full 8/8 parties in prison.

PS: I wouldnt call this ass kissing the GM.. its more like getting information from him, hunting bots(which is always fun) and i guess.. interacting with the GM.. to show that the community isnt dead.
