What's the amount of elixirs that can get me to +5 with like 90% chance.
I know it's all about luck.
but if you have 20 elixir, you can be sure that you'll get +3 before you finish them.
so how many elixirs for +5?

I'd say 100, no joke. I've only used 5, or 100. Either it works the first time, or it keeps failing until like 100+, but maybe that's just me? :/

Through hours (and billions of gold) in testing, I've come up with a spreadsheet
that chronicles the success and fail rate of intensifying elixirs when used on
items.
All tests include Premium (5% bonus to success with elixirs), and use Lucky
Powders (bought from jewel lapidary/grocery trader)

Keep in mind that "Elixirs req" is only an ESTIMATE. Statistics is a cruel
mistress. I once spent 41 elixirs just trying to get a piece of equipment up
to +3.

To make a +0 weapon +1.
Attempts: 80 (This is how many times I've personally done this test)
Successes: 80 (This is how many times I've succeeded getting to +1, +2, etc)
Failures: 0 (This is how many times I've failed getting to +1, +2, etc.)
Success rate: 100% (This is the chance of success of getting to +1)
Elixirs req: 1 (This is the average amount of elixirs required to get from +0 to
whichever bonus this is)
Avg cost weapon: 300,000 (This is how much is costs to go from +0 to +X if
weapon elixirs are 300k on your server. scale up or down accordingly)
Avg cost armor: 200,000(This is how much is costs to go from +0 to +X if
protector elixirs are 200k on your server. scale up or down accordingly)
Avg cost shield: 100,000(This is how much is costs to go from +0 to +X if
Shield elixirs are 100k on your server. scale up or down accordingly)
Avg cost access: 70,000(This is how much is costs to go from +0 to +X if
accessory elixirs are 300k on your server. scale up or down accordingly)

To make a +1 weapon +2.

No it is exactly 2.5% (Recalculate) depending on his success rate .

80 * 2.5% = 2

so 127 elixir * 600,000 gold = 76,200,000 gold
Well, +5 weapon that sell for more than that is 9D, so it doesn't worth trying on lower weapons :/

It's really random. I've personally spent over 500 wep elixirs on my old 9d sos sword only to only go up to +4.

I've also spent 5 elixirs and made my nova necklace +5.

It is all random luck, I made my nova cleric rod +7 without any fails from +0.

I just played it smart, went from +0 to +4 then left it until the next day, went +5.

Kept it +5 until the server inspection, went +6 and then kept it +6 until fortress, after fortress I went +7.


On the other hand, I got my egy staff +7 first try without a fail and then when I went +8 and failed, getting it back to +5 was a nightmare. I think I used 1.2b on elixirs at 900k each before it went +5, after +5 it went straight to +9 the way I said above.
