Probably somebody just kept adding clocks to the pet?

It isn't a glitch , it is how the game works .
Btw Why did you say it is over 9000 days while it is only a little over 12 months ?

some time ago there was a "bug"...
there was this event (i dun remember it's name) where you got several silk-items if you did not play/ did not login for a time like around 3months.
you got a pet-clock, some sp/exp scrolls and more.
people that had been farming honor chars for their honor rank mostly didnt login the account for ages, as soon as the maximum of 4 characters/account reached up.
so they had like a lot of inactive accounts on which they were able to get those silk items.
if you now had a tradeable monkey(or whatever) you could give it on this account, add the clock, and exchange the pet back...
when they did this with all the accounts they had an amount of 2years pet-time was quite easy to get.
so its neither "bugged", "hacked", nor will it be removed, because it was joymaxe's fault.
if you get the opportunity to cheaply buy one of these i would advice it to you!
