Perfect potion settings
What are the perfect pot settings for a Chinese and Euro? Wouldn't 99% be less efficient than something a bit lower? Because using them that early is only going to heal you for nearly nothing and put you on an unnecessary cooldown. XL pots say they recover 820, but we all know that its not only 820 HP or MP. As a potion is used, HP or MP slowly climbs in bursts. For my spear nuker, XL MP pots raise his mp by about 16k. I guess maybe for Chinese it might be better to have it higher considering cooldown is only 1sec. But euro's on the other hand... What's the cooldown 15sec?
What's your level, build(str/int/hybrid), and hp/mp pot settings?

Re: Perfect potion settings
Pure int wizard : hp 80% mp 40% and i use 25% vigors when my hp gets low .
So in the first week in college i went with jeans and the pajama's shirt. Didn't notice what i was wearing till after i returned home.
Re: Perfect potion settings
you would think 99% wouldn't be effective but that means you will get those bursts of hp/mp RIGHT when your hp drops. It will continue to do those bursts meaning when you get hit again it will burst yet again.
I use 90-95% though and only for pvp (and only HP too).
For euro probably set it lower if you have a cleric/sub cleric like around 40%

90%-95%? Now I see how you beat me at pvp...
I set mine at 75% for HP and 60% for MP.

Re: Perfect potion settings
85% hp/60% mp on every char when I pvp, although maybe it was 90% hp and like 70% on ints. I think the pots heal more according to your build. When I grind I got them on much lower to save pots.

Re: Perfect potion settings
There is a secret way that not many people know how to use maximum of your potions.
This involves using HP Pots, HP 25%, Vigor Pots, Vigor 25%.
Using one in different intervals will give you fastest recovery of HP (and smart usage of pots).
There was one testing about HP pots, if you digg it, and if you have a little logic in your head
you could find the best pattern to use pots.
This involves hand potting btw, but you are almost unkillable (you can use it only as STR China character).

Re: Perfect potion settings
Eventuallly it all depends on how much money you have. If you have lots to spend, then why not go for bout 95% on both str and int? But for Euro probably lower due to the cooldown.
I would say that if you have a STR char, you have less int so the % of int must be higher. And the other way around for and INT char

Even with a shitload of money I wouldn't put them on 95% because it's just a waste of pots and you would have to repot very fast. Now if I didn't have to repot everytime maybe I would put it on 95% lol
Either way, when you use a hp pot at 800 hp and that would heal you to 1500 hp it won't matter if you get hit while repotting to 500 hp, it will still heal you up to 1500 hp. It's a way to save hp pots but only when handpotting.

Re: Perfect potion settings
I usually calculate the exact % when the pot completely heals me in the first burst. For MP i set a bit lower %.
There was this vid where all the different heal items were tested to find out what order u should use them to heal ur hp the fastest, but i can't find it.

Re: Perfect potion settings
I am pure str warrior/cleric and i use the following settings:
I use 40%HP, 45%MP when i solo (not very often)
and around 30% HP, 25%MP when i play in pt. I usually expect my cleric/bard to heal my HP/MP before it gets that low. Potions are only for emergency, when the cleric/bard can't keep up with the HP/mana. In pts you wouldn't want to waste your potions unless you really need them, because you will be on CD, when you really need them. That's why i keep the settings rather low, when i play in pts.

Re: Perfect potion settings
Rogue/cleric
HP 60%, as a euro I want to make sure I get the full use out of my potion. I just try to make sure after using a pot, I'm up to about 90% hp.
MP is usually just set at however much it takes to cast holy recovery division. If i have int/MP on my gear, Usually ~40%

Sure having it at 95% is a waste of pots but I think of it like this. If my pots starts to heal me sooner and continue to heal me for 5 seconds (what ever that time thing is) my hp will stay up near max hp tharefore big hits like crits will not 1 shot me.
That's for pvp though. In pve I just set it so it will get my hp to full with 1 pot.

Exactly, even I forgot that I wrote that. Therefore, the fastest way would be (I guess I did mistake in pot tutorial)
XXL --> XXL --> Health Grain --> (...)
While constantly spamming Vigor Grains.
You should check hacyu's videos, who's epic enough to lure like this.
