should i go +6 on my nova rings or +6 on my nova chest in other words?

Generally Accessories are better since they are a percentage. Also accessory elixers are usually cheaper.

hmm.... so i guess imma use my immortal on my accessories then.. hopefully it'll make more of a difference +6ing or +7ing them instead of doing them on my armor equipments

I would say that the necklace and possibly the earrings are good to +, then after that I would go for the top/bottom for armor then back to the rings.

simple test:
take off all your equipment(still wear the acc's) and let (e.g.) a wiz cast a fire bolt on you
now equip your armor and take off the accessories, go let the wiz nuke you again

and see the dmg difference..
