Can you loose your gear if you die while in job status?

Unless something has changed, yes you can. Back at 80 cap, we killed a player thief and he dropped his shield. I don't know if it was equipped or not though.

I'm pretty sure everytime you die you have a certain small % of dropping something, be it in job, PK, GW or death by mob.

That because he didnt wear it, items in inventory which you do not wear can get dropped

AFAIK, yes, unless its sox then its safe

Only unequiped items can drop on death, thats it.

cmon, dont need to be a philosopher here, the question was concerning the gear, who runs around naked in job status? He's obviously wearing the gear he has...

You still have a chance to drop equipped loot while in murder status, even if jobbed though, so technically, yes, you can drop gear while jobbing. Only if you're in murder status however.

Unless they've changed that.

My guild leader lost his EQUIPPED son staff during a 107 party. Or he just lost it while he switched to cleric for a sec, he didn't specify, but I HAVE lost my weapon during cape pvp a longgggg time ago during 80 cap.

ha I remember at 70 cap my buddy lost his 8D sun bow cape pvping...preeetty sure they fixed that lol

Cape pvp has never caused stuff to drop...

hmmm that's odd, cuz I don't recall any SOX items equip or not being drop even in lv15 murderer status. There was a video in youtube proving the fact that sox would never drop even in murderer status.

No you can't drop gear in Job.
only job gear can drop in job.

I've killed about 4,000 thiefs in the job cave so trust me on this lol
