Anyone know why I get these "graphics lag" every 2 min? It lasts like 1 minute then gets normal for 2-3 minutes then does it again.

I closed every useless program, only had ventrilo and silkroad open and some notepad and nothing changed. did a spyware/malware/ad-aware scan as well

Oh yeah i forgot to mention defrag, did that 2 times and also a game defrag from game booster to silkroad directory

lower your graphx, dld ccleaner and do all the goodies in that, ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm reinstall sro too (backup ur ss)

lol i forgot to mention i did the ccleaner too and reinstalled silkroad also

Run dachau.exe in the main folder which will automatically start up heinrichhimmler.exe which will take over and begin sorting your working files from those that need to be eliminated immediately.

But whatever you do, do not run Sturmabteilung.exe

If you happen to, execute Bierkellerputsch.exe right away.

and please do not let Hitlah.exe out of the trojan box in AGV anti-virus

check you cpu temperature, see if overheat problem
ram degradation
graphic card problem

update ur graphics drivers, if u already did, rollback ur graphics drivers. if that doesnt work, buy more ram and get a new graphics card lol

though its prolly what the guy above me said, heating prob, go to staples or w/e andbuy a cheap extra fan and put ur computer in a space with a lot of fresh air. if that doesnt work lets do some unorthodox methods, like drilling holes in the side of ur tower

oh yea if u have a laptop stop playing laying in your bed with a wooly ass blanket

another thing worth trying is disable the shadows... i have a very powerful pc yet lagged graphically with shadows on detailed.. put it onto circle and it fixed itself. (460gtx graphics card with a amd hexcore processor)

Shadows are the most intensive graphics, particularly the dynamic ones, because the computer has to constantly recalculate the physics of them. The "Circle" shadows will probably work fine, though.

As for the OP, there's a million and one things that could be causing that, I suggest downloading Speed Fan and seeing how your CPU temperatures are. If you could get a screen shot (press the print screen button, then paste inside paint) of the speed fan window while you're running silk road and we can see if it's a heat issue.

Your computer specs (including your OS) would also be helpful. I believe that this would belong in the Tech Issues forum, not this one.

I gave it some thinking and I think it might be the new ram sticks that I put in. It's the right ram, but I think its because I put in 2 single core ram sticks (2gb+2gb) when im supposed to be running 2 dual core sticks i think

Does that makes sense as the reason why its giving me some graphics lag?

I've never heard of "dual core ram".

If you really want help, you could do what I suggested. Otherwise I can't help you. If you really think it's your ram, you could always try unplugging one of them.
