So with the final boss of FW doing petrify, i'm wondering what can prevent that status?

I know Holy Spell does not since it says so in the skill description, but since it doesnt say so in Holy Word (it says all bad status beside faint and freeze), so does it means it would block 100% petrify, like every time its casted? I have my skills at 102 atm, but i think it could be worth it to lvl to 104 to have lv10 of Holy Word if this works.

What about the bard random-status cure thing? Would that work?

meh, how can you cast when you get stoned? I really don' think there is any skill that would cancel petrify status.... Just dodge it, don't press 123 123 123 cuz you cannot cancel the next skill.

I figured that.. but its hard as wizard alone doing 1*. Skills takes long to cast

I'm pretty sure no skill can prevent or cure petrify. All I know of is maybe those special status reduce stones from Roc.

I think there is no build that can solo 1* and kill the 101-110 boss, cuz it will summon 2 uniques at 50% hp and 2 more uniques at 25%hp and 2 Ghost Curse. not to mention you cannot dodge petrify all the time and its time consuming. You don't have enough time to kill that boss whatever is your build.

I'm just doing 1* and 2* solo for treasure box, after I killed the 2nd treasure box, I teleport back. we tried to kill it at 2* but my stupid party wasted time killing that first Ghost Cursed from shipwrecked 1, in the end we ran out of time and got teleported back.

You guys who said 'No' tried it or what?

I dont see why it would not work, it says in skill desc. that Holy Word works for all beside faint and freeze, nothing about petrify.

I have fire shield emperor+holy spell, but still petrifies me, same time with my party, so NO!

Fixed that for you (I know it's the description, but those do go through). Though, before the 100 cap, Combustion & Panic both went through Holyspell, as well. I think I should mention that I'm speaking in terms of where it (Holyspell reduction) is equal to or over the status effects you're trying to get through.

Holyword / Holyspell aren't 100% immune from everything, just most things ...lol

From the status description itself:

"Petrify is the state where you are stoned solidly as if you have become one with earth. Under petrify state you cannot do anything, and you will slowly lose life power, resulting in death. In order to get out of petrify state, a comrade must attack me to relieve the body from getting stoned."

and if you've ever been to a Medusa pt and were one of the unlucky few to get petrified ...you'd know that Holyspell doesn't help one bit for being immune to it.

Holy Spell does talk about the no effect on petrify, but not Holy Word.

So anyone tried it? Holy Word vs petrify?

Holyword and Holyspell are one of the same skill.... The only difference, disregarding mp costs & slight difference is Effect reduction, is that Holyspell is an AoE party buff (just like Healing Cycle is to Healing Orbit) and Holyword is the singular buff (single target).

I brought in the other examples in the other post to show you that just because it doesn't list it in the description, doesn't mean it doesn't go through. Yes, I said Holyspell, but I use "holyspell" when it concerns both skills in terms of what bypasses them ...lol
