Looks like joymax might have finally figured out a true solution to the golbots problem (about goddamn time they did), there is now an ip limit of 2 accounts per ip address. If this works goldbot companies will die, buying enough ip addresses to support their operations would be way to expensive. Hypothetically, lets say this worked for a while and gold bots never returned to SRO, would you?

I like sro. Sure it's not the most cutting edge game out there. But I enjoy it. The only thing keeping people like me away is the bot/poor customer support issue. If they fixed that, for like good, I'm sure lots of people would come back.

Although the whole massive amount of exp/sp requirement is also a huge turn off. But meh.

no, you can't play sro if you're low level. everyone is powerleveling, SRO seems sooo f*cking dead

I just tried to log in my third character in my third computer and guess what, got error for IP limited. I live in the US, i asked some union member live in other country they got no problem at all, so its only for the US player.

I'm curious to see what ass-hat made the decision of hey, let's block the multiclients by limiting connections from IP, but we'll only do it to the US, the country with probably the least amount of multiclient users. We'll just stick our thumbs up our asses and ignore the goldbots flooding in from China.

I checked In hotan now, and I saw around 60++ goldbots stalling elixirs and some SOX Stuff. Very Nice IP BLOCK JOYMAX.

Yep, fail on Joymax's part. They only blocked U.S ips, when most Gold bots are from China.

Edit: Seems there is a server inspection right now, with a new client ver. 1.282, maybe they're fixing it

Obviously there is an IP restriction of 2 clients per IP for the US players, but how can we be sure that it's ONLY for the US? Maybe it's also applied for some other countries, like China for example. Are there any chinese players reading these forums, that can confirm or deny this? Maybe it's a different number of clients per IP for the different countries...

I'd wait for an official statement from Joymax or some sort of solid proof about this, before I jump into conclusions.

Proof? There are goldbots running rampant again, most of which are from China. Unless they are using some kind of bypass.... Also I've seen only U.S players complaining about this in game.

As of what I've heard, it's only for US/CA atm.

I think they need to reduce the amount of servers.
They have 30+ and if they do take away all the bots it'd be like 1000/3500 each server.
If they reduce the amount they'd have a handful of server filled with actual players, na mean?

Aren't they closer to 45ish servers now?

Anyways, what you say is correct. But they show know sign of slowing down on making new servers. So meh.

I just got dc'd, and now i get this. >.< The account is email verified, and has an extensive silk history. I kinda thought this is what you need to do before you CREATE a new character. lol
