FIX THE F***ING DELEY!

Hey guys, I think it's about bloody time that JM is going to fix the deley! If I want my chra to go somewhere, his reactiontime is about 0.5-0.6 sec. In WoW, Cabal and even in Conquer(!!) it's 0,05-0,01!
I've lived with this ever since I started playing and I'm not going to quit just because of the deley but if they'd fix it more people would start playing. Same thing about the skills...
I just don't think its very smart to creating more places and messing with the cap unless the game is smooth and not so damn glitchy...

favoured countries for connections by joymax, servers in asia... outdated servers.
not much of a surprise that the ping is almost permanently above 200

Well then I have been having a constant lagg for the past 4 years...
So you guys are telling me that if i go in on a US server i will be fine?

yea im from new york, i never experienced this "lag" unless i personally am having internet probs. i got optimum online if that makes any diff lol

i had this too and it was for like 1 sec but only in the last 2 years. 5 years ago it was fine, the reaction was instant unlike when i tried this again for 1 day like 1 year ago. on the other hand, on ecsro and zszc i didnt have this delay so yeah i believe it to be of the location

idk what your talking about. theres always been this .5 sec delay. i hit X key on my keyboard and the skill starts its animation about .3-.6 sec later. im used to it, its all iv ever known

Yeah i know, it's been like this ever since i started playing. But i think its odd that they still havent fixed it.

I used to have lag like that when I played on an old computer running Windows XP. When I switched to Ubuntu on the same computer, I did not have the lag anymore, even with SRO graphics on high settings with DETAILED shadows.
I really don't think it's network lag at all. Maybe graphics drivers (Linux would use different graphics drivers than XP). Or maybe some other operating system files dealing with graphics, or the TCP/IP stack? Something... Maybe wine (the software that emulates Windows APIs) is more efficient than Windows itself?
Disclaimer: SRO doesn't work on Ubuntu (or any Linux - or OS X I presume) anymore. This is because Hackshield itself doesn't work with the wine libraries.

I have friends that live more towards the east side (Servers are located more towards the east) and they seem to never have delay.
I live in california, U.S. which is like the worst spot to be in for this server's location, and i too have a 0.5 second delay. It feels as if I have 200 ping (as someone mentioned). I had 0 delay in eCSRO (felt like 20 ping or so. And that server is located in the U.S.)
It's not that bad, I am used to it also but a good reason why its a disadvantage is that its not really fair PVPing against people with 0 delay. It's really difficult to win PVP's against pros that have 0 delay unless I get lucky crits...

There always has been a slight delay indeed, but I agree that since somewhere end 100 cap/begin 110 cap the delay has been alot higher and made it, atleast for me, almost impossible to pvp properly.
