I had a character just about at level 90 probably 18-20 months ago that i havent logged in to since, for personal reasons i havent been playing at all. Will it still be there? i had serious ammounts of pimped sun gear and stupid ammounts of gold and silk, is the fact i bought silk in bulk often going to stand in my favour for keeping my account safe even after so long?

......damn didnt think of that! lol, but even if thats still working, will my characters still be there? Ive heard some peoples have been stripped of gold and gear, even though they havent been hacked 0.o

Not really, i knew someone who didnt log in for a few months and went back to his accoutn and his chars had been stripped of gear and most gold. His login details didnt change, so im guessing he wasnt hacked!

I'm guessing he was hacked. They took everything of value, minus the char. If that's not hacked, I don't know what is.

Is there a way of hacking without changing the passwords? i dont know anything about how u get hacked, but he wasnt logged in ever, so no scams or anything, no one knew his details either.

why would joymax strip characters if they could just spawn the items?

Who knows, but still a bit strange imo I wouldnt be shocked if GM's stripped them tbh lol, a joke on the corruption of isro

Yes. Hacking, typically, makes passwords irrelevant. And after the hack has what he needs, why bother changing the password?

Reply within 10 mins and I could try to log on for you. That is if you haven't installed the game yet.

IIRC characters are kept for 12 months with silk. It could be for ever though, best bet is just trying it.

i don't know the time limit but i've had an account banned for inactivity while i was on break of about 2 years. they don't strip your account, they just ban you. doesn't make much sense of them to ban the account since it doesn't free up space for new players.

i don't know if having silk on your account matters. let us know.

Bad connection speed right now so i cant dl the client again unless i want to wait like.......20 hours Thats why i posted as i wont be able to dl for a few more days. I hope it isnt banned, that'd suck. Rev6 wont pickup my character, but thats likely just due to the inactivity anyway.

Ahhhh, i see. Yeah, things disappear from rev6 after not very long. You can still log into the account on the silkroad website right?

I went inactive for 1.5 years and left 1 silk on my account and it wasnt banned

My account had a bunch of silk etc as well, and got disabled after 12 months of not logging in. This was like half a year ago (me trying to login that is) so I'm not sure if it's still like this, but if it is, you're out of luck :S I sent them a message and they simply replied that they deleted inactive chars to free up space or something stupid like that. With silk = 12 months without silk = 6 months iirc.

I went inactive for over 12 months and all of my accounts were accessible, even the ones without silk.
