Secret Question
Ok so after 2 years I want to start playing silkroad again, but I forgot my password. So i decide to recover it, "SECRET QUESTION"...I need to answer a secret question which now I have forgotten the answer. Is there no other way to recover my password? I have all my paypal receipts from the times i bought silk. Is there no other way to recover my account? I do have a theory that my secret question answer had a space in it, but I can't enter spaces anymore
Re: Secret Question
I don`t know of any other way. I doubt joymax would give you the password if all you have is the user name. From their point of view you could be anyone trying to steal an account. Better to just start over.

Well you see the thing is I already leveled and spent money on that account, starting over would really suck. You know how much a grind it is. I have all the paypal receipts and my email to prove that its mine, what more could they need. My ID? Cuz I can give it

No what i'm saying is can't they reset my password or something?
Re: Secret Question
send an email to customer service
You shouldn't expect an email back or anything, but you can try anyways.

Re: Secret Question
im gonna try to break it down for you since i know a lot of people dont understand why this exists. i am in no way trying to insult you
lets jump back to when you made the account. you fill in your name, email, etc. you pick your secret question and type in your custom answer. so were assuming you fill in everything correctly. you play for a year or two and quit. jump ahead to now. lets pretend that im some random guy who decides he wants to get into your account. after a few months of research i find out your name, email, etc. but i dont know your secret answer. i ask joymax if they could send me the answer. i show them all this evidence that i am who i say i am. so joymax says "ok good enough. here ya go". now i change your password, login, take all your items and give your murder.
now i know that story is extremely unlikely but it is possible. the point is, the secret answer is the only pure and true evedence that joymax has that says you are the same person who created the account because the secret answer is never written down anywhere, its unique to you (and maybe 1% of the world population depending), and the question is so standard and bland that there are literally millions of answers. you should treat your secret answer like you SSN. if someone else has it, its almost imposable to prove who you are. and thats why joymax wont give it to you

Kind of hilarious how, even after two years of not playing sro, people return.
