SRO is a POS MMORPG that I play. If I could sum it up. The community is crap, and JM is out for your monies. If I could vote against it I would.

In all fairness, the game is good but (has been said before) the management is horrible and the community is corrupt. I wont be voting for this game

No.
Silkroad has to much bullshit in it's gameplay to be the best MMORPG, and i am not talking about the bots and the overpowered itemmall stuff.

Yep I still like it more than WoW or the others games, so yes.

Btw, would be nice if those who just says 'No', would at least says what is their favorite then...

The question isnt 'Do you like everything in SRO as it is now?', it is 'Is it your favorite MMO?'.

This! I mean, I get tired of most MMO games after 35 minutes of playing. So yeah, voted for Silkroad :sohappy:

Your favorite MMORPG is one that is not even out yet? Nice :P I hope you won't be disappointed. Everyone had high hope in Aion, but it kinda failed to fill the hope people had. But thats off topic! :D

To have something be a favorite of yours it has to reach your own standards. So those two quotes can be one of the same. The game has to be good as of now to make it my favorite as of now. The game obviously lacks a lot of qualities, but it is free and there's people whom I can play with. I quit one or two years ago because the community I was with died.

The game lacks a good community: look at the current art contest, there's people who are willing to cheat in that. There is no activity beyond 90 and even then I doubt there's activity, everyone is either botting or plvling. Silkroad play-through is pretty simple, find the fastest way to get to cap. The game's currency is inflated, back then weapon elixirs were worth 50k-150k, now they're 1m-2m. Now, can Silkroad still be fun? Yeah. If you find a way to endure all the negative and find people to actually play with.

Joymax makes false promises and seems incompetent, I think that pretty much says it all. Until this game reaches a certain standard for any game, good management, an actual community, then this game would be worthy of a favorite of mine.

Favorite games, mmorpg? WoW, Final Fantasy Online (XI, haven't tried the newest one), Wurm Online, and Mabinogi off the top of my head.

I tried many other MMORPGs... Some with better storyline and cool graphics but they ruined it for me by just being another grinder...If these other MMORPG weren't grinders I wouldav left SRO long time ago. I'm already hooked on this grinder I don't want another one.

Well everyone minus me had high hopes in aion. I actually have no hopes at all for guild wars 2, i just played the first one and if the second one is on an equal level it will be fine for me. (ok... close after D3, but this isn't a MMORPG and therefore not listed)

Everyone got dissapointed since it's NCSoft that was the developers, ArenaNet atleast know how to make mmorpgs.

I voted on Rift:Planes of Telara and Guild Wars 2, SRO is the crappiest mmorpg up to date.

The only problem I have with SRO is the SP system. It's pretty brutal. Most games let you buy skills with money. :(

So why are some of you people here, on a Silkroad Forum, posting about Silkroad if you hate this game or don't play it any more? Is the habit of visiting this forum hard to break? Do you still deep down, love this game for all its flaws and wish that one day they'll finally make it better?

Honestly I love the PVP in this game and find it far superior to that of other MMOs, especially WoW which clearly added PVP as an afterthought, its poorly balanced (worse than this by far) and serves utterly no purpose. I'm not entirely sure how many of you have played WoW, but seriously resilience is the most retarded stat ever created. I've also been in a decent raiding guild, we downed most of ICC in the first few runs but I don't play an MMO to beat badly coded boss scripts, I play MMOs to play against other people. This is why I love SRO, its PVP is wonderful.

If there's a reason people stay on something in the long term, even though the conditions are poor, it'd be for a community. A lot of people who stay on this forum and those who don't play Silkroad, well, they here for the community. Silkroad as a game can only go so far (it doesn't go far at all, if you're wondering), and so it is the community that increases any possibility of continuation of playing. Silkroad as a game isn't perfect, neither are other games. But its management and community, and I can't stress enough, are what makes this game very poor.

REPEET: Game good, JM Bad, Community Bad.
