Got a Wizard/Bard 86ff 150k sp. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to reksill bard fo cleric, for better survivability and such or should i stay bard, cause the only reason i can find to being bard is to run fast+noise. Help me

Another reason for staying bard: Much less SP cost.

If you only got 150k sp left at lvl 86, i would suggest you to stay bard. Unless you plan to farm like mad at high levels.. Or just get very few skills from Cleric, like Recovery Division, holy spell... But if you want STR, INT, phy/mag, some healing skills, res skill, then you should stay sub bard.

Because you won't be a good / useful sub cleric unless you put a lot of SP in it.

Go check some SP calculator and see how much more would the switch cost you in SP.

Getting the most needed Cleric skills such as recovery division, healing orb, blessing, holy word, str int mag phy def buff = 190k sp for lvl 90

When i take away bard i will have 300k sp + which means 100k sp over for other levels.

Wiz/Cler is a much more fun build to play. Just get some typhoon and youre fine =)
Noise is nice, but when it comes to Giants, youre pretty much farked >.<

How do you cope with giants and such while soloing? Do you die alot while soloing as wiz/cleric? What are the benefits would you say? Is light armor better than robe?

You use bless when giants, and healing orb. I pretty much never die when solo wiz/cler. Worse with wiz/bard tho..

I use robe atmm since Im only farmed as Wiz. Not sure what to use last dgr.

So if you were me you would reskill to cleric?

Yeah. Ive been playing both. Cleric was most fun/best imo.

you could always farm another character with your current character. fear+zerk+kb+root+earth fence+fear=giant taken care of.

Or just bless and attack =P
Rec Div is enough to kill giants. Bless is a + tho.

Switch to Wizz/Cleric when your higher lvl. Lvl up the bard mastery, speed and noise. nothing more.

Lvl 86 seems like high lvl enought imo. I dont understand why ppl want to go as bard to 100, then reskill?? Lots of work. I have had no probs levling my wiz/cler from 0-98 so far.

My build is like Gladiator_RN suggests: the bard has just speed & noise. With good autopot settings, casting Earth Barrier and (of course) good weapon (SOS +5) giants of my own level are not a problem. Usual my strategy is: Ice bold - Fire bold - Fire blow - Ice bold - Fire bold. If things get tricky, I have some pink potions available.
Long story short: soloing as a wizard/bard isn't difficult.

In the end, bard will lvl faster.

I would stay bard; make sure noise is up to date though.

This is true

Grinding's a pain in the ass. Giants are, at least for me, one of the very few things that keeps it entertaining. Sucks when you can't kill them. Go wiz/cleric.

Not really.

It also lacks Noise, and Mana refill.

If you play smart, with only Noise you should be able to grind easily. You can take mob 1 by 1, and if things get bad (2 giants or something), you can always run away with speed.

And Mana refill skills helps a lot, you can usually grind longer since you dont have to go repot for MP. + Save gold, just like Speed buff.

If you usually grind alone, buying speed potions all the way to cap means a lot of money. Much more if you go for 100% speed.

Always tried doing that with my wiz/bard. Got owned by lags fairly often.

Although that's probably just because of my sucky internet. But yeah, Lag > Me.

To be a good cleric you do need almost all of the skills maxed.
To have fun with a bard - same.
The one thing wiz/cleric is better in, at least imo, is PvP. And since i'm not a pvp person, i love my wiz/bard char. I tried playing a friend of mine's wizz/cleric. Well for me it was a pain in the ass and i don't find it that much fun. All the time people whine that they want u to be cleric insted of wizard. Let's say for example at medusa... if there're few clerics, u have no change to fingt, cause u have to heal. And i've tried some parties / uniques with 1 or 2 more battle bards - it's pure fun. Plus the count down of the skills is nothing compared to every other char.
As for the giants - if u're smart enough u'll survive. They r a chalenge, but hey, where's the fun if there's no chalenge

Yeah Wiz/Bard is much more solo grinding oriented, while Wiz/Cleric is better in party (as long as there is a char that play as a bard in it for MP and Speed) and PvP.

And I do not agree that bard and Cleric needs as much skills to be good. Cleric needs much more in my opinion. Unless you get every tambour and dance from Bard tree... At high level, with only Mana Orbit you can feed well whole party in mana, + Swing March for speed, + tambour and maybe 1 dance.

While Cleric you need more than 1 HP refill skill as Healing Orbit is usually not enough, you need STR/Int/Phy/Mag buffs, all the passives, Holy Spell, Resurrect, Recovery Division, Bless Spell...

Wiz/Bard is better if you dont plan to farm a ton of SP.

You're right, i ment that if you decide to play as a battle bard, the SP are not so few. Bard is a SP saving build if it's only for speed and noise. nvm anyways

Wizard/Cleric is a much better build.

Get yourself a rondo and you're set for the bard side of things, apart from noise, which is pretty much pointless if you're a wizard normally 1 hit K.O.-ing mobs when soloing. (The only time noise deserves any gratitude)
