Is it just me or this movie is made after SRO? I watched it last night and all the time i was like "Lol this guy is nuker on cold" and "Lol this one is nuker on fire" ... yea, i know i do sound a bit strange, but the movie really is like someone played too much sro and wanted to see the skills and the chars played from real people...

If you know the original series you'll see how bad it is.

So you don't mind the way the story is told? That the characters don't fit and that the bending just looks awful?

The movie seemed rush when compared to the series, because it was. And that M. Night Shyamamamamamamamamalan tried to jam the entire book into 1hr and 23m for whatever reason, maybe to somehow please the fans which I don't see how that works. Should have obviously made it longer, like near 2hrs. Although the time gods probably said no and everyone hates the time gods, but you have to listen to them.
I like the choreography a lot, especially the earth benders, and the effects were nice. My only gripe is that the movie is extremely clean when it's about war, but that shouldn't be surprising sense it's suppose to be a kids flick. I honestly had chills going down my spine when Aang bowed at the end. Was really awesome.
The problem? The same problem that is similar to movie adaptations on books. I still like it, though

Stop fussing over the fact that someone has a different opinion and likes something you don't they arent hurting anyone by doing so so just leave it alone

The only earthbending I saw were 4 guys jumping around and one rock flying towards the fireguards lol. It ruined it badly for me. But to avoid Dbett5's wrath (lolz), you are ofcourse entitled to have your own opinion.

Considering, Shamalamadingdong fired the original choreographer and came up with his own random shit idea of bending, I say the movie fails.

I don't know why but its very hard to translate from an anime/cartoon to a movie..it just doesn't really give off the same effect....I think the problem is that we have directors that aren't real fans themselves...They don't have a clue..

Ish I guess. I watched it finally few months ago, and it sucked more than I thought.... Really, the names were all wrong... how the hell did you go from Aang to Ung...
What was worse was how I hate how shamalamadingdong ruined all the characeter's emotions. Everyone was just dead-paned. Dunno why aang was always so dam pissed, or how socka's comic relief was pretty much all deleted.

My kid wanted to walk outta the theater. Shit was AWFUL.
The movie sucked more than a glory hole. M. Knight Shamblahblahblah could get a job as a Joymax exec.
