Are the servers always like this now?
How long have they been this empty?

servers are usually just "populated" at any given point of the day for isro, and for how long...since about august or so...maybe more recently. the emptiness is depressing though.

For a good 2 months?
They added this thing that kills bots and it's been working great.

Would you give some more info on this? I've missed it apparently?

how is it depressing? It was always this deserted in the low levels other than the gold bots...
I'm pretty sure most of the high levels you r counting are just afk botters given the popular trend in sro

They added statues at random places, like outside of the gates and bot infested areas. If you come close to a statue you die and DC. I guess gold bots kept running in to them so they quit using them, or something.

i don't know why i have the feeling that this isn't gonna last for too long.
I mean the gold botting companies will most probably program something that can avoid the statues automaticaly since there is already a software that can do that.
The only way this is gonna last or be close to how it is now it's if joymax/wemade rly started this with the intention to keep it like this forever. And one thing that seems promising is that on some servers the job cave has statues too so i think it's clear that the statues aren't intended just for the gold bots.
Anyway the thing is that with this move joymax just made it possible for people to log in faster and that also includes log in faster with more chars.
There are still gold farming parties just that they are not owned by gold botting companies.
Guess all we can do is wait and see but i'm curious what's the strategy joymax has now with the bots and all other bad things @ sro.

Servers are populated.
more and more people are hitting 110 cap.
more activities such as pvp, jobwar, and cave war.

Interesting, and it's been like this for 2 months now?
I can't think of any reason why JM would do this, other than self promotion for SRO2 or something?

That gaming championship thingy is going on. It's that special time of the year where they actually care about the game, happens every year btw.

It's been like this for a little over 7 weeks now. They have also made some other improvements to the game, aside from keeping the servers open 24/7. To be honest, to me it doesn't seem like it's the annual "We care for the game" show that they put up during GNGWC. Self promotion for SRO2 sounds more like it.

they keep changing the statues' location, so I guess maybe by the time the bot paths change or w/e they have moved the statues again. I have seen player bots getting killed and disconnected.

The only problem would probably be the ridiculous xp from 90+ and onwards... I just cannot believe hitting 110 without botting is possible...
I have a 74 char gggggrindfest silkroad is already impossible.
Powerlevel to 100 is the only legit way ? (handgrind to death to,but lets leave that out)
Oh yeah parties, but there are no parties below 90 ?? This game is pretty fked up
