So I was afk at Bride in between penons and yeti on Tigris.. [Gm]Glabrio whispered me and said "Hi" and I didn't respond because I was in the fucking bathroom... I came back from bathroom and getting a drink and noticed I was disconnected and his chat was still last in list.. Tried to reconnect and see if i Could whisper back to see why he whispered me and I have perma ban.. How the hell would I go about that shit.. A ban straight from a GM for taking a piss..
A guildmate got banned as well as a couple union mates by Gm's personally, but they were all botting. I was getting plvled at yetis for my dam yeti stick quest.. Now I quit sro for good >.>

I took a pic actually to send to their stupid ass Customer Service of the ban, but not of him talking to me.. I was in a hurry to get back in game and see if he was still trying to talk to me. Just what I'd expect from JM >.> Only reason I'm not really too mad is cuz I only played on it when I was bored and my brother is the one most pissed off. He put in prolly 2 and a half weeks worth into it. I was getting plvl from guildy for yeti quest to get to 52 faster..
I even Posted my inquiry on the official forums, but it was removed within an hour when I went to check for replies..

That's a retarded move by that GM....a player should be allowed to stand around anywhere in the game if he feels to whether being power leveled or not...

It's not as if your char was grinding and you didn't answer him which would make him think you're botting....which is still not a good reason to ban either because you don't have to talk to anyone while you grind....

They need to come up with a better system of catching bots...saying "hi" as a means to see who's botting is completely retarded.

in your case, the GM couldn't know you are afk, he probably saw you standing and nearby another char botting, he assumed you are being plvled.

Idk if my friend was banned that was with me, hasn't mailed back to me yet on the new char I made to tell guild about this bullshit... Same guild must mean we were both botting >.> Not like I can make someone not bot. Finding a legit guild is impossible nowadays.

pic of my ban notice. Says illegal program usage...I'm positive I wasn't using anything illegal to take a piss. I sent it to Customer Service. if I was banned for being plvled though, that is bull as well.. I was fighting mobs with him but had to go afk for a few to piss.... Ran to bridge and sat down.

When I see disconnected from server screen.. my first thought isn't "Take a screeny of the DC button" I never take screenshots. I only took that one cause I needed it to send to customer service.

Anyways, you're going off a story someone told you, you weren't actually there. No screen shots to prove what he said was the truth. I'm not calling the OP a botter, I'm just saying, the events may have played out a little differently.

There is nothing wrong with a GM saying hi to someone grinding to see if they're a botter. If I'm grinding and I don't reply back, I expect to get banned. How would you like it to be? Would you like them to put every botter on trial and drag it out. Innocent until proven guilty? Or maybe they should set there and watch the botter bot for a full day, youtube it, and send it to the main office to get a go ahead, to ban them. I digress-HATERS GONNA HATE

There certainly shouldn't be a trial, but there should be more than just a simple ignored PM. There are some places out in the field where mobs never go, so standing there to go afk for a few minutes is generally safe. Why travel all the way back to town, and then all the way back out, just to run to the other side of my house to check on my screaming daughter when I can just move to that "safe" spot for a few minutes? Would the GM ban you for standing afk inside town?

For one, I said, if a GM PM's me, not a player. Two you are assuming a lot, and three, damn you're lucky, my wife makes sure I have my daughter in my sights at all times or she bitches.
