How many of you have written Glaive instead of Glavie?
Silly typos deserve to be recognized and discussed.
Discuss.
I preffer Glavie, sounds more realistic

Joymax spelled it Glavie untill like late 80 cap or something?
then they suddenly changed it to Glaive.

I had written glavie(cos of JM's usual typo) until i found that glaive is right.
And now JM have fixed that typo too.

I found out that "glaive" is the right spelling before JM fixed it and started to use it in game. People were laughing at me because they thought i was mistyping. But I started to laugh at them who were laughing at me after JM fixed it. So... "GLAIVE"

Using glavie could have been a representation of how Silkroad is based on the actual Silkroad.

It's refreshing to see someone actually spell glaive correctly.
Edit: I take that back. I misread your post and thought you said you prefer 'glaive' when you actually prefer 'glavie'. Silly Squirt, misspelling a weapon name...

Wikipedia's information about the Glaive claims that it is a European Pole arm. The Chinese name for it is Guan Dao. I wonder why joymax never call it that since only the Chinese race have it in the game.

I'm sure the Chinese also have native names for the blade, bow, sword, and spear. Joymax however decided to use English names for these weapons in the game instead of their Chinese counterparts.
