Well, I'm wondering ...

I logged in today after update, and it says I'm permanently banned for Illegal program use. I have never used a bot, I don't have a bot on my computer, nothing.

Anyone else got this too? I have mainly been stalling last days and buying items and playing CTF, cause I'm studying for my exams. It's pretty sad I got banned now lol ...

maybe you should ask a friend who has prem or has bought silk to send a report about that to Joymax, they do most likely listen to silkbuyers. Im afraid fir my char a lot now, hope it won't get banned

No, you cut the bull. If I'm saying that I never used any program that comes close to a bot, then I haven't. Never did a PK2 edit, never changed any file.

Now, I'm thinking of it. Last week I asked in a topic about that topic so that you can connect to 1 part of the server (the .26-.30) thingy. I did what that topic said, and also changed the hosts file so that it always connects to the .30. But that can't be the reason, can it?

Forum isn't part of Joymax. Enough hypocrites support such a thing to lobby for any change against it. That is until people such as yourself start getting banned and thinking that you were innocent, because this supposedly legit forum supports it (so it must be legit right?).

I hope you never get unbanned.

Baloney, I have my laptop with an edited hosts file and have several accounts that have never been banned.

However, I remember reading somewhere that certain 3rd pt programs connect always on the .30 server, so maybe that is the reason.

Regardless there is usually a reason for banning, even if it is accidental. I read somewhere about a lot of "legit" players being banned once and Joymax reversing their bans.

you can not be banned for the .30 server host editing files. you are not editing their files so you have done nothing wrong. if they ban you for that.... then joymax just does not like you.

On Topic: I am sure Corevalue didn't use an illegal program or a bot. I really don't know why the permenant ban applies to real players not to goldbots...........

And if I didn't get banned for adjusting the hosts file, I wouldn't have the slightest clue of why I got banned, except that they've been randomly banning again.

@Zwaz: I just went back to my account on Eos. I got loads less SP on that account and pretty much no gold. I just saw I'm still wearing my 2 degrees earrings on my lvl 42 ... says enough I want my account on Ares back. I'm so f***ing pissed. But that's Joymax, they can ban whoever they want and need nothing to proof ...

Calm down. If you have another account with more SP, why not use it? Ofcourse there will be people who will help you with some gold, then you can get some gear. Be happy it wasn't a lvl 100+ account because if it was, you will probably have done something else.

My account that was banned had more SP And I know gold isn't everything, but I put quite some effort in that account and money (ok, you're right, it's not a lvl 100 ccount, but still).

But I'm hoping to get unbanned. If not, I might as well quit this game. It makes no sense to put hours of effors in something, that you can get banned afterwards for no reason

But i heard some people get unbanned in change for some cash but not without some input, and by that i mean you have to call Joymax CO. GL

Bingo . /thread

You could be on to something there. By changing the hosts file, you're not changing the SRO client files themselves, but you're changing the way SRO works. You're cheating the system by bypassing some of their login queue. I don't know if that should be enough for a permanent ban, but maybe a week or a month.
