Is it just me, or has lag increased very much the last days? I died twice today just because I couldn't move Never had it before, now it's already 2 days in a row that sometimes I just can't do anything ... is it my computer, or SRO?

Same for me after inspection I have been lagging a lot.

Your computer cannot lag. Your internet connection or the server which in this case is silkroad can lag.

Antivirus and firewall analize all packets send / recive by silkroad , making them to filter , that cauze u to lag , when i found out that , 5 years ago , i stop using firewall and antivirus and not only that my pc works faster , but i see an visible incrase in programs performance .

So, it's not because the server of SRO is lagging, but my internet connection?

Yeah and I bet 2 months later your PC stopped working entirely

U all wrong i haven't format my PC for 2 years and works like charm . I use my brain before doing somethink .

i also dont use any firewall or antivirus, the only formats i make is when i buy new pc......

dont buy into all that anti virus crap, just download from safe sites / torrents.

btw, some ppl experience lag in servers, it may be on serverside, its just random AFAIk.

Never used an antivirus or firewall on any of my computers. Don't go anywhere nor download anything i shouldn't. Only stupid people use them when they go places they shouldn't.

As for the lag, yes i have noticed the 4-5 second lag spike more often then usual.

If you live on the State it could have been everyone flooding your isp by doing their taxes, at least thats what happened where I live. But my isp sucks and goes down a lot.

i only run a firewall. and thats windows firewall because its already installed. gotta be smart.

Same for me, I use to have Anti-Virus but I realized lately I haven't downloaded anything or gone to a site thats not safe, so there's really no need.

You don't need an anti-virus if your not stupid. A number of things could be making you lag. The packets from your client are sent through wires to many servers, then through more wires + more server etc etc until they reach their destination, the Silkroad Game Servers. A slight problem with a server hop to another could cause packets to be dropped making you lag, or that server just has a poor connection/overloaded. All depends on your ISP and if they work to optimize their network by working with others

Your brain is the best anti-virus around. i only have windows firewall and my laptop is running for around 3 years without any formats.

about the packets, i know my isp awhile back would route my packets from the east coast to the west coast, down to texas and back to the city 20km away from me.. causing mad lag on some games.

Ontopic: I've been having a lot of lag as well lately. I think it's Joymax because I usually have no lag at all.
