Hello. This is Silkroad Online.

We will tighten the punishment on the use of illegal programs to provide our players a better gaming environment.

The 3 Strike-out system of 'Clean Campaign' will be terminated immediately and when illegal program usage is detected, the account will be blocked permanently. We are informing our players that the standard of 3 Strike-out system which is the recent punishment of bot usage and permanent block which is the punishment of specific illegal program will be integrated to the Tightened Punishment, Permanent Block.

We strongly suggest that do not use any illegal programs and ask our valued players for active participation.

Start date : Mar 23, 2010 after weekly server inspection

Punishment Target : Illegal Program User

Punishment Standard : Permanent Block

I lol'd what are your thoughts on this? Will they seriously ban cheaters! Also I think the update will be on 23rd same time this new system will be implemented.. what do you guys think?

Lets see how it goes maybe lots will return if they are strict with this policy

Hey wheres the Legend V?! Can't even yet download it, I was meant to add blue to my 4th degree items but I will get pass my farming before Legend V comes out if JM won't speed up...

Well this might be true, but I don't think donated players will be banned tho. The game has to make money. So at least goldbots will be banned and non-silk users. But who knows.

On the other hand srsly where is Legend V?>.>

SO let me understand , they will add new game guard ? Or if they catch u use ilegal problem they ban u instant , no more 7,14 days ?

as we have seen in the last few weeks they can easily detect and ban almost any and every bot/cheat user... I don't think they are adding anything new because we already have a new hackshield they are just removing the 3 strike thing. "If" you are caught now you get perm banned

My dreams come true . Ban them all , there won't be anymore 110 FF players .

If its true..then their new server will have alot of eager legits queing to play with very active community...sound nice =)

you know what, go and make a survey in server, ask all the botters if they will still play if they either get banned or be stopped of using bot progs, lets see what the survey says.

i dont think joymax are THAT ignorant, imo this all debacle is a PR stunt (the soon to come expansion and SRO2 etc).

Sure it is but it still helps This means that the servers will be populated again, instead of crowded At least for some time.

If this is legitimate and if they REALLY do it, count me back in SRO.

chances are it will be random banning....if not as the above above topic user stated... the population will be very low due to real player playing..

When all botters are banned, 100% of the population of SRO becomes non-bot. People who were not able to play before, will be able to.

This is very true. But irregardless of the motives behind their actions, the end result is good for the people who actually play the game.

we can only hope, but eh.

also what would REALLY piss me off, is if they actually do make it work this time, and the ones that are already farmed and capped will just stop using bot and keep playing. that will create a hugeeeee gap between them and the rest of the server.

I like how they used the word "WILL" in that announcement, instead of their habitual "WOULD". I hope they'll actually do it. Can't wait to see what happens.

If they actually do this it's nice, but I wouldn't care either way..Atleast it's a bit more busy with playerbots, the goldbots can fck off though.

I don't think we'll be getting a legit back for every bot, but it's going to be a lot fairer for everyone that plays. I don't understand the distinction you make between goldbots and playerbots, they both suck and should be banned.
