Ok, so I recently restarted onthe Phoenix server, up to level 15, and in every stage of my progression (mangyangs, weasels, water ghosts, stone ghosts, yeoha, tigers) there has been hordes of bots with random names, literally just random keys pressed, like faksdhfl or uyiurwy. all making near identical movements, all killing the same thing, none of them talking.

Here's the sorta thing I mean:


Anyone elese seeing these guys around?

Erm, I have levelled since then.
And yes, I have been gone for about 3 years.
I knew there were bots, but I never saw anything like this.

No but seriously, you will see them mostly anywhere, if you dont like 'em, move over to another game.

I was simply wondering what they were, since i've not played since before they were around. Back in the good old days with more than 5 real players per server XD

They are everywhere and on every server. They are run by player bots and companies that sell gold. They used to be part of the reason no one could log in. Recently they haven't been as bad due to Joymax stepping up its game due to GNGWC, mmosite's contest, and legend 5.

What is this phenoix server, Can some one here give me the brief introduction for the Pheonix server?

If anything the bots are less of a problem than they have been over the past few months, and before that. See, we can actually log in now, when its convienient for us

Well this is what they are. Ranning around and stop at the samep laces, attacking the same monsters with the same skills..

It's a near empty server on SRO.
Seriously, I think the number of bots outnumbers the number of actual players XD

But that's what you get for forgetting your username on your old server.

UHMM?? Silkroad opened 2005, so the game is 5 years old, and the goldbots havent been around that long, maybe 2.5 or 3 years, i remember not seing any in my whole grind (big one) to lvl 64+, there were player bots but not goldbots.

I stopped playing during the "Babel(NEW era". When I had came back was like "wtf whats with the trend of having random letters in your name" and I posted on SRF for the answer =D

yeah, there's an absolute flood that just sits there in the dw teleport, all wizards around lvl 32+. every name is like bibausbdiybi. looks like theyre not trying at all to be unoticable
