I'll post my story again, to get its value spent in time.
I still have a place for this game, it was one of the first games I ever played. It is just our generation -- most of us are at an age around 15-20. It's a typical situation for people to miss what we had first. Many will see the resemblance in life, and for example it's just like in WoW, where people still fight and make constructive topics to get game servers up that are pre-expansions. No I don't see a resemblance between the 2 games, but the situation is for so much the same. People miss it. They miss the atmosphere, the joy in finding things in the game, and talking about these things with your guild....
Finding that lost shoe of the emperor's child and seeing at least one person ask about this quest at all times in jangan central. Having Old Weasels kick your ass with that annoying sound. Standing there being a retard, dying to the Water Ghost's poison. Grinding a stunning 500,000 gold together with your friends to start a guild. Talking about it on school. Playing a tune as you farmed away in bandit stronghold where the sos+5 D3 bow always dominated the sos+3. Being in such an immense grinding session that your XP bar filled by the minute, tapping 1 through 5 with ultimate control as you bounce your head to the beat of your tunes. Having the gold together for a trade flag as soon as you reach lvl 20, getting popped by thiefs running around in D7 blade/shield, lying dead on the floor seeing the boys from dEranged shoopdawhoop your camel and nick your 15k worth in trade items whilst raging over whisper to your friend ingame. Looking for Tiger Girl on the actual "Tiger Mountain" . Watching this video over and over, being stunned by the amount of excitement and friendship this game offers.... the list can go on and on and on, I could type for Farking 5 hours no lie.
I won't talk about the negative things as detailed, but just look at the 4th comment down on the video, by user "SilkroadPrivate". The guy hasn't been playing very long at all, yet he WANTS everyone to think he played since the start (which is almost 4.5 years ago, not 6...). He misses the pre-crap SRO even though he obviously never played it!
The way I feel about this game - and yes, it's a feeling - is still strong, this is the way many people feel/felt/still feel about Silkroad Online. The atmosphere is just so Farking great it beats a crapload of other games in the industry. This game attracts me. Not just the atmosphere, but also the sounds, the graphics, the guild system, the actual grinding.. Just such a Farking relaxed game. Silkroad Online is just an amazing game, in many many ways. It is a huge shame the game blew it's full potential when JoyMax failed to realize that their income could be just as great if they fought the progress in programming bots, from the beginning, and from a point where it didn't grown into ~60% of their income. I study Software Engineering and I kid you not, there are a many efficient ways to rid SRO of the vile programs.
Just like a few other regular posters that I admire for this "fight for the legits" (see my sig, made by Draquish a long time ago. Still love it), like ping_lo, PR0METHEUS, and VForVendetta etc, I feel the need to fight this cause...
The fact that a Software Engineering student could rid SRO of the vile mess it has bred, is however not that which people should be pissed off about, as obviously JoyMax knows this.
I'm just disgusted with the company, in a way that I could honestly spit on the CEO's face without feeling disrespectful or any regret what-so-ever. I am disgusted with them because they ruined this game that I loved so much inside-out. It's their fault, they screwed up this game which had, and STILL HAS, immense potential in the MMO world. They let the game come to a point of no return.
The real reason for this post however, is because something caught my interest.
It is quite obvious that JoyMax is splitting the legits/bots up with the next content expansion, being a cave where bots couldn't easily enter for the first weeks as the programmers find a way to enter, and an open area where they will obviously be going. I thought of this immediately after just looking at the map of the new areas posted on page 1... It makes sense that after the latest hype going on, JoyMax is 'splitting' them up so that the legits can still party grind and the reputation of this "non-bot" area will find its way towards the ex-players and also new players. I can personally see no real reason for this split-game other than JoyMax taking her first step to do a 180 and fix this game. It can be done. The latest "JoyMax fixing their mess?", "JM recruits a dozen GMs", "GMs active in-game", "WTF I GOT BANNED BUT HONESTLY I DONT BOT/NEVER BOTTED?"-topics back this up even further.
I grinded a lvl 74, 72, 68, 60, and tons of others. I was a master in reselling, a hardcore grinder, and a genuine lover of the game.
I will make the return.
Thoughts?

Servers are easy now. Too bad that didn't happen a year ago when Venus was alive and thriving with activity.
