Ksro - Anti-Goldbot

According to our Korean friend, It's name is the Statue of Justice. The statue sort of acts like those little mangyang toys we had back in the good ole' days, Getting too close to it is pretty much instant death, it has like these little sentries floating around it. As far as i know, these are GM spawned and can't be attacked/killed. Another, and more recent implementation in Ksro is the update that Charaters 7 levels or high of a mob will not receive drops or gold. Lets hope this gets implemented into iSro.

so that statue thing is like joymax version of the lightning thief trap? lame
they should just ban the goldbots instead of playing with them.
also the "no drops from blue mobs" update is pretty useless. i don't know why they did it but it definitely won't reduce the amount of goldbots.

Goldbots don't grind on mobs their level. They get easy kills = easy gold. Fighting mobs their level with crap gear and a weapon and probably a gap is gonna get them raped.

They are just going to attack mobs 6 levels lower, no big deal. -_-
Plus most bots have the feature
Stay away from Party Mobs or Champs etc, so they can just make another option "Stay away from Mob X". Update bypassed.

Why do you guys have to be so negative about everything Joymax does now?
They at least try to improve the game
Only thing I can tell you is that before the update all ksro servers were Crowded/Populated (one was easy) and now one of them is populated and the rest is easy. So it must have changed something.
I see a lot going on in SRO from Joymax's side to make the game better and I try not to see everything as another way for them to make money. I think they finally start to care a little
about their customers' game experience.
And many goldbots have gap 9 in order to stay a long time at the mobs they're grinding on and collect as much gold as possible, so they should at least have a harder time fighting mobs 6 levels lower than 10 or more. And I gotta love the statue, it might even be bad for player bots (although GMs have to be active first; maybe they should give every player one statue every week/month so that they can do something themselves....)

If you give them the power to use it, it WILL be abused. No questions asked, the players were given monster scrolls, and new players couldn't leave jangan without dieing, imagine what would happen with this.

Don't most gold bots farm on blue, or at least green, mobs? They certainly wouldn't grind on red ones I'd think. I never really paid attention to their level.
Other than that, what about power leveling? Do the mobs drop anything if a high level is killing them? Less incentive for someone to get power leveled if they'll end up a naked lvl 85 with no gold.

Sure it is, if it is a legit player who powerleveling you. But is it a bot powerleveling you, you're not legit. You see, someone got to work for your powerleveling.

I understand what legit player means in SRO
But look at this way of powerlvling..
U can be FF 100 if someone plvl u (whithout playing, only login, trace or coming to spot - whats the point of playing Silkroad then? PVP,jobing,FW,kills unique? And u are not make anything (till lvl 100) by your hands - if u understand what i mean)
No making quest, (yea sure u will doing low lvl quest when u reach lvl 100 - that means - u are skip one big part of game)
And paying for taxi? Thats is necessary if u want make some proggress, because u cant handgrinding - all good spots for lvling are full of bots or higher lvl char who KSing u.
And why u cant be to high lvl to do something but u can be to low lvl for some tasks? How can lvl 20-40 kill TigerGirl and get some nice items for faster progress in game - They cant because high lvl always kill faster and then sell items, and low lvl are forced to buy it if they want have better equipment for easy lvling...
Thats the only few reason why i understand plvl as some way of cheat ( i dont know what other word i can use

)
I dont want be smart ass but thats my opinion on plvl and SRO
Little OFT but i must XD

Is it just me, or does those sentries look like they're wearing the meteroids or whatever thing's helmet from Megaman. Those little buggers with the helmet and pick-axe.

try and joymax is like instead of pouring milk in your cereal, you use grape juice.
which is disgusting.
hence my point why trying and joymax doesn't mix.

You can talk to GMs on kSRO. They listen to you, they come to you and they ban bots for you.
Korean players are very respectful, they know how to behave themselves which is one of the reasons why iSRO GMs have a hard time (Generally speaking, not saying they're doing anything now)

It's still not the way it was meant to be played, IMHO. I've been offered free power leveling MANY times and have always refused. I guess it may be legit as in not against any official rules, but I feel it is still abusing the game mechanics. SRO characters weren't meant to just sit on a horse and gain tons of exp quickly.
Besides, it's BORING to just sit there staring at your horses backside all day. If I'm logged in, I'd rather actually play.
