moving about 1 full step is 1 unit on coordinates

use geometry to find the distance between the 2 points lol... but you'll still only know how many steps it is
its not like 1 step=1 foot in game... there's not distance measurements... unless you try to measure the 100m with a trade animal with how far you can run before you get stuck lol

yeah but you cant measure it well

what fire an arrow and see how close you are before you can shoot it? then get coordinates of you and target and divide by its range?

or use phantom 21m vs 21.5m and see how far .5m is?
you really want to use that to measure how big the map is? lol what difference does it make

The distance between the X coordinates of both positions and the distance between the Y coordinates of both the positions form the right angle of a triangle(use reference point zero to help). Use those values to find they hypotenuse which would tell the distance between both points.
