im currently farming 9gap slowly to become fully farmed (i've been out of action for a while now) and now i have around 5k+ SP and im lv 17 Full str chinese. I've been wondering and thinking whether i shld go Bower or Glavier. i really like both a lot but there are a few things i dun like about bower/glavier

Bower: Arrows takes up slots :X
Glavier: Skill are slightly slow

Please give me your opinion on which 1 i better in what ways so i can make a decision

experienced players are welcome to tell me your experience playing.

If i go glavie i'll do 100 Heuskal 100 Fire 80 Light 20 Ice
Im not sure about bow builds

I've just read on about powerleveling using bard/wizard/cleric or smth like that. I want to ask about the leveling speed of euro char compared to chinese char and is it better if i just make a euro to powerlevel my chinese?

GO BOW!
I have a lvl 99 ff 98 bower and he destorys ALL glaivers. I mean literally i kill lvl 100 glaivers. With bow all u need is 100 fire, 100 bow, 80 light and 20 cold. Nice and easy.
Yeah it takes up slots, but u need less pots coz you kill things before they get to you

don't bother with glaive, you'll be disapointed!
Bow FTW, 1. you get kb's, 2. stronger skills, 3.more fun when jobing and pvping!.

Go Bow no doubt. Since bow is ranged you can grind faster which means more sp. And if your worried about space then you can help Joymax by buying silk and getting those 10000 arrow things.

i have 7 mastery on Pach Heuskal Ice Fire Light but i can alwayys delevel it right

lol ok i guess i'll be going for bow then.

is it a must to die to delevel if i were to farm? just wondering if it is good enuff to be farming with 9 gap without deleveling

You have such a long long long way to go...real long. Your gonna need at least 1 milllion sp to be fully farmed at 100.

Bow is the way, ofc arrows take u inventory slots but u wont need lots of mp potions, and since u hit from long distance u wont need lots of hp pots too

im now fighting tigers with lv 16 bow (NPC bought) im lv 17 using lv 2 ice imbue and lv 2 anti devil missle...omg am i doing something really wrong here? i have 9 gap

if your getting plvled by a a couple of bards you can manage 5-6k an hour with your ticket on if they know how to play there bards correctly

most just power level their character.

if this is your first character and you got no friends ingame, its gonna be a long ride before you can establish the "5k sp per hour" method.

yea this is pretty much my first character... so how many SP shld i be getting a day by right...cos im pretty sure i wont get plevel anytime soon. if i grind by myself with 9gap how much shld i get a day?

it doesnt matter, you must realize that at some point, youre going to get better at this game, have money, make friends and therefore apply different methods to lvl up.

i can draw a 0-100 plan for you, but it wont be relevant if tomorrow you luckily get in a good guild or meet a nice player to help you out, and as the saying goes, once you go black you never go back, meaning once you taste some plvl method or get spoiled, you wont revert to your old methods.

just play the game for awhile, try to be talkative, try to make some money and learn from your guildies.

Well seems like youre not that experienced with high lvl chars and builds, so i'd advice ya to go bow. its just easy to handle and easy to grind

Not always true. A few years ago my guild master offered to power level my blader. I tried it out for about a half a level. It was BORING! Sure, the exp came quickly, but I found it boring to just sit on a horse occasionally potting the horse if I was taking damage.

Around that time, I died a lot when I was grinding (because I tried to tank way too many mobs) so it basically canceled any plvl experience I got, which wasn't much anyway.

Power Level = lazy and boring... similar to... other... methods of leveling.

I'd rather actually play my character, even considering that it took me about 2 years to get my blader to lvl 54 before I retired that character.

As for the glaiver vs. bower question, I'd have to agree with most that bow would be better. I prefer solo grinding (although I occasionally did parties) and a bower would be better for solo grinding I'd think. Glaivers hit hard enough, but no shield, so not as much defense (as a blader, but outside the scope of this question) and bowers really don't need much defense since you should be able to kill most mobs before they get to you.

ok...>.< im estimating i can get 2k SP a day at the rate im going...so i need 1.1mil sp, it'll take me 550 days which means 2 years...lol

im seriously thinking of not farming and just level with gap...

That's what I did with my blader a few years ago around 2006-2007 or so. I basically maintained a 3-5 gap from lvl 1 through lvl 54. I never bought silk (so no tickets) and mostly solo grinded, so it was a slow leveling process. I ended up at lvl 54 with some of my skill trees a bit low (last I remember, fire was about lvl 36 and light around 30) but it worked for how I played. I never really bother with PVP, so I don't really need to be fully farmed.

if this is your first character than stop putting so much thought into it. just go play and make friends.

if you maintain 2 skill trees for now, than you dont really have to farm alot, you can just do a pve build for now and enjoy the game. if i still played id help you out, but i dont. And as far as plvl goes. Its pretty much like crack, once you start its hard to stop. Especially if you don’t sit there and stare at yourself the whole time.

oh..yes its my first character. ok then i'll just level as i like

i think i'll keep some gaps just to get more sp tho

2 skill trees...im bower so i'll take pacheon, what about the other? :X

Or..You lv up in gap 0 and then farm at 100.
