hello guys, I'm new to this forum, and the reason why I started this thread because I searched on google how to see why I cannot log in to silkroad even after a few hours of waiting, yet to no avail.

I am considering that I might be banned because I have left my character afk at various spots because the log in timing just takes too long, and I hate to wait for such a long time especially when I'm so excited about playing it when I get home. I usually log in before I go to school, and come back to see my character on screen. This time round, I came home to find that I am still stuck on the log in page. I restarted my computer and logged onto silkroad again, 3 hours later I am still on the same screen saying that I have reached the maximum players.

I am trying to find out if there is an updated ban list or something that I can refer to, or how do I tell if I get banned or something? Cause I really want to log on and play with my friends but I just don't know what's wrong?

The message on the log in screen says

Phoenix new members bla bla bla....

Auto Login will begin. Waiting period will be based on wait time.

The answer is, the servers are filled with bots. This has nothign to do with you leaving your character afk. If you are banned, you will get a message at the bottom of your screen saying that you are blocked for 100 years. Don't worry about it, just start the login and minimize sro for a few hours. When you come back, you should be logged in

Hmm... I can't tell if this is a serious question or a joke...

no this is a very serious question this has been going on for a day already. Thanks for your feedback though, cause I left it on for 3 hours already but it's still not logging in, before that I left it on for about 5 hours but it didn't log in. Which kinda annoys but.. it's a free game and a good one so I can't complain =)

This message will appear in game while I'm logging in and my account is verified? or are you talking about before i click start on the silkroad client?

Also.. I checked up some banlist thing about external programmes and deleting some files on silkroad or something like that.. They said if I don't have some certain file called rde.dll or something like that, I can't really remember the exact files, but they specified 2 files, then I might be suspected of running an external programme. When I tried to search for those programs, I was unable to find it.

Could I be suspected for botting or running an external software then? Cause the only thing I run is ares, windows media player, AIM, and MSN. Also, I am 100% certain that I didn't delete anything from the silkroad folder, neither do I run illegit programs like bots, or w/e.

oh yes I am running on version 1.222 is that correct?

This isn't a free game. Buy premium or leave is the best advice. Whats waiting for 4 hours to enter just to get Disconnected in 30 min going to acheive? apart from pissing you off...

You have to spend about £30 a month on this game or you lose out man.

Depending on the server, it takes a long time to login. You can buy premium though. It does not cost 30 pounds but 30 dollars. Which makes a huge difference

You could as well wait till you're logged in, its up to you. All I can tell you is that you aren't banned. If you were banned, you would see it when trying to login

yea silkroad IS good game
but its just not worth the stress at its current situation

you can get a premium for 15 dollars if you dont want to spend 30 dollars. doesnt this belong in q&a?

Yes you can get cheaper premium but I put £30 because you have premium, pet,perhaps Skill ticket, and other items you may wish to buy.

So it's alot. You can try the game without spending a penny but whats the point. You'll only want to kill someone if you dont put money into the game. wuoldn't be suprise if one day soon a SRO player goes to Turkey on kamikazee mission...

Server .30 could take about 5-40mins to login, since last inspection it seems to take 5-10 hrs now T_T, don't care I have premium, but staller don't

I didn't know there was a .30, I was only aware of .29 and .28
for some reason I keep getting connected to .28 and I can't go any higher up. I have read that there are 3 things to add to the host file, where exactly should it be added? is it under the notepad file? or I have to create a new file or soemething? Also, does it work for .30 if I do the same? Just switch the numbers around?
