The agreement was sealed in October 09.
Basically AhnLab will be the new anti bot/hack/malware or any 2rd party software tool.
Haven't see any update yet. We'll see.
For those who doesn't know whats AhnLab

Hey, do you know if they have retirement plans for my robotnics? I am sure gonna need some WD-40 for all the metal grinding that's gonna happen when Joymax instructs these wonderful guards to defend against my tin foil friends!

It's interesting that they just now are trying something new after people have botted for so long. Figured if they actually cared they would have done something about it a long time ago.

This doesn't erase the fact that SRO is possibly the biggest grindfest game there is.

If they ban bots, they might anounce about this, bots would probably quit botting and start playing with thei FF chars, but after they have told about banning bots nobody would probably believe, And I wonder is this just a commercial trick again -.-

I doubt they would ban the bots even with this in force.
GameGuard > AhnLab, they didn't use game guard.
iSRO is too much of a game for casual gamer, even serious gamers find it hard to cap.
And theres no end game content. Thats the main problem.
Absolutely no end game content.

too bad AhnLab is just as easy to bypass as GameGuard lol (see Combat Arms for one of many examples)
Nexon is constantly fighting hackers there but they dont give up and actually ban them as opposed to JM who is like "wwjd" aka turn the other cheek

They wont get rid of botting.. it's where they make there money.
I'm wondering what the game would be like if somehow all gold bots and player bots were banned...
There would be a massive loss of profits for JM and also how many legits are actually out there? How many people will "want" to play this game if they cannot bot.
Begs the question huh?

No chance. This protection system won´t stop bots, but it will prevent stealthhax.
Joymax should implent processscans like Blizzard with world of warcraft. Then there is no more hacking possible.

A useless protection to waste even more RAM. Great.

That definitely sounds good to me, i hope they really use the solution they get from Ahnlab unlike they did with that fake GameGuard. Would be awesome if Ahnlab finally banned the bots (although i don't beleive it anymore thanks to the salesmanagement post, but maybe they want to keep their game up instead of letting it die

)

Since its founding in 1995, AhnLab has become one of the largest security solution companies[citation needed] with 65% of market share in the Korean security market alone and approximately 500 distributors worldwide. Headquartered in Seoul, Korea, AhnLab is traded on the BAWSAQ under the symbol AhnLab.
Really? That's funny considering I, and many people I asked that use computers regularly, never have heard of it.

Note my bolded parts. The first one, makes it sound like it's talking about worldwide, it doesn't say anything about Korea. Second part, 65% in Korea "alone." etc... no time to to continue, gotta run.
