can u ever tell the difference between the people who actually spend time grinding over the people that are plvled to high lvl in pvp
i mean i think if u grind om mods u get better at using ur skills and stuff.
if there is a similar topic welll w/e ....... didn't see one

Yar you can see the difference.
Hand Grinders know the difference between a yeoha and Yeowa
Same for a red-eye and devil eye...

I know how to pvp on every build, I haven't mastered it on every build ofcourse but I know how it should go
I haven't tried all of them, I learned by watching pvp, so I can easily plvl a new char to 85 and pvp pretty well with it.
Ofcourse if it's a new player and he gets plvled all the way you will notice that he fails.

You don't always see the difference...
Some high lvl who hand grind sux...
Some high lvl who got pwrlvled are really good...
Really depends on who understand more game mechanics.

And this understanding of game mechanics is related to their learning; which positively correlates to experience and practice (function of real time played)?

Re: difference
pve and pvp are two very different things
pve involves buffing and hitting same 2 or 3 buttons over and over and selecting a new mob for hours on end
pvp involves real character knowledge and testing it against a human being who will throw new scenarios and strategies at you constantly (this is what makes pvp more interesting to most people than pve) without people practicing at pvp i doubt they will get any better
example when i used to play tsro i did a lot of pve on my char
now i play csro and get a lot of plvl on my char and in extra in game time i pvp
despite having spent more time actively playing my char on tsro, i think that my csro char has a lot better win/loss ratio simply because i pvp more
on the other hand i enjoyed pve on tsro more than pvp on csro because pt grinding actually challenging and fun
imo that anyone who party grinds on their char instead of soloing will understand there part in group pvp and their group as a whole will perform considerably better than those who got plvled or solo grinded

Re: difference
By grinding you get to know which skill what does. Also you will learn the cooldown which helps linking skills in pvp. Drop a new guy in pvp with a lvl 90 char and he will have no idea which skills to use.

good point didn't think about cooldown
Re: difference
I am just answering OP's question...
Hes basically asking,
My answer...
There are ppl who always suck even if they practiced a million times.
There are ppl who are good after few tries.
Take DoTA, there are ppl who played 5 yrs and still cant make it into league, there are ppl who played 1 year and are playing in major tournaments.

Re: difference
TBH you can see a difference I've hand grinded my wizard/cleric so I know which skills get me killed which do more damage how do I do most damage and still survive. And while pvping this helps a lot as compared to nub wizards who rush with life in any pvp and die I don't do that. Also I usually don't even need bless in a pvp vs same level and have a decent win ratio.. so yea there is a difference

No on all games you always have two types of people.
People who learn the game fast and become pro.
Or who are retardly slow and learning.

Re: difference
Powerlvl = ppl that remake new characters.
Grinding = legits with nothing better to do.
Either way, both sides have played long enough to know what each skill does. 90% of all "new" characters are just remakes of old ones.

Again... thats not always the case...
There are ppl who has never play the game long enough but with a lvl 90+ char.
They buff their lvl 98 char with book 1 buffs, book 1 imbue, they think theres lvl 98 sun weapons.
Some doesn't even know what elements are for...

You can't really tell. PVP wouldn't be an accurate indicator because there is almost no skill required, so you'd look at parties. There are several possibilities :
1) Someone that parties well could be :
- a bot that handgrinds enough to know how to play or used to be legit
- a bot with good AI
- a legit that knows how to play
2) Someone that sucks at partying could be :
- a bot that never hand grinds
- a bot with crappy AI
- a bot-supporter that got plvled to their level without ever grinding at all
- a legit that solos a lot and rarely parties

Re: difference
Powerlevel is stupid if you are new to game, you need to play your first character. But if you play the game long time, I dont see why not pwl yourself another character. You can learn to pvp with any character in few days no matter did you played it or pwl him. For some just takes a bit more time.
Looking for mmo to play...
Re: difference
I know of legits who can't PvP for shit..believe it or not there is a smallllll amount of skill needed.
Just remember the bot gets to level 100 day 10, the legit gets to level 100 day 20. 10 days of PvPing is more than enough to get to know your shit. Obviously those are..fake numbers but the point is there.

Re: difference
Heres a question, what about if someone got pfarmed but not plvld,
so they skip like 80% of the hard work.

Re: difference
Doubt you'll see any diff. Farming is just pure repetetiveness. Specially bandit farming days. Like that would ever help you pvp. Yay, I know how to click a mob and 1 hit them with normal attacks. Woo, i pwn all.

Re: difference
the only difference is how they setup their hotkeys
at cap everyone spams the same attacks, the people who say they know how to use skills at right time... haha this is more of an illusion to make you think you are controlling the fight. The time it takes to see what happens (IE: stun/crit) and the time you press next attack happens at same time, the best you can do is set up hotkeys so that if stun/crit happens then the next key you press is going to be the best skill to followup, if all you do is do 1 skill, wait to see if it crits/stuns, then hit next button you'll be wasting a lot of time. people hit skill then hit next one and see if first is stun/crit then hit the 3rd skill to follow up on the 2nd one
or if this way of pvp is just me, it suits me fine, I use big attack followed by a fast one giving me time to see what first hit was like while filling in the time with a quick hit before using 2nd big hit, I dont follow 2 big hits in a row often because they leave you defenseless while charging so using fast hits inbetween is best for me. Bowers who say they use kb or another big hit following a crit lie
they look at hp and think if they can tank the hit the other person can give they use a big attack, if not they kb. Look at most bow pvps, if it shows their hp you can see that they follow crits with a kb when they got low hp not another big hit most of the time.

Hand Griding you get to know your skills more, plving just lern how scam or try get out of a scam...
Thats why I do CTF cuz I don't do alot of pvp at gates, by ctf I get experince to fight with other players and see how strong I'm, and mobs I just lern kill fast and lern my skill better how use them as combos.
