Silkroad Online Forums

A lot of people are saying that it takes at least half an hour to log into the game only to get disconnected withing five minutes. Is this true? if so, then is the game worth all the trouble?
I'm not planning on buying any premium account. Should I download the game or look elsewhere?

In its current state, IMHO the game is no longer worth the trouble. If you buy premium, then it's less troublesome logging in, but your experience will still be lessened unless you find a lot of legit friends on the server.

It' so easy. Silkroad is a free game. But, if you arent goint to speed money on silkroad, look for other game

It's a very fun game if you can get in and ignore the B**'s

Silkroad has ran its course for good, i can say i had amazing experience with the game as i played for the many years that i did. But i was finally able to see through all the BS in May of this year when i just left. I was able to find Aion similar to Silkroad i didn't play any other MMO and i still dont. Silkroad was the first MMO, i had tried other MMO's but just couldn't get into them as i had played FPS games beforehand. I was very popular on the Halo PC game when of course back then it was very popular but that ran its course as well and Halo 2PC was a Phail so i was forced on to Battlefield 2.

If it wasn't for the poor management provided by Joymax, i think the game would be in a better state today. Even if they did snap there fingers and changed the way the game is the people that have already abused there way to the top and bought gold would still have a shameful advantage over others that want to start.

I dont see what you guys are complaining about.
Just play the game, you have to do nothing to log in except press enter once.
Go afk, get back after 2 hours, grind for 3-4 hours, setup stall, get off computer.

I never get disconnected - ever. It hasnt been easier to log in into servers ever!

Logging in isn't really as bad as people seem to think. I'm sure everyone has plenty of stuff to do on or off the computer than just one single game. Leave it autologging and try not to spend the time thinking you're just waiting for it because then it's gonna feel like a waste of time.

-The game has a serious third party program problem.
-It's a grind and the quest are pointless.
-There is little to no customer support.
-There are gold farming bots everywhere.
-The skills are cool
-The PvP looks cool.
-There is FW............ at a terrible time for Western Gamers.
-There is a job system............... it's dead.
-Party grinding is the fastest way to level.......... there are no parties because 99/100 players bot.

tl:dr, go play a P2P game or a F2P like Jade Dynasty or Requiem: Memento Mori.

The game is not worth the trouble if you are playing solo. And its not worth paying 20$ per month just to log in and get .01% more per mob. Try out the games Baro/hejsan said, though i didn't like any of em too much, they are still good =p.

BTW, its not just the loggin in part that sucks, there are goldbots everywhere, hardly any lower lvls since everyone bots, and its a total grind fest. So don't bother ;p

this game isnt as bad as the people here make it out to be. i still find it fun, there are lots of aspects of this game i enjoy. my advice, join a newer server, log in during the evening in the western areas is always 100% log in. i play on Eos, and its 100% for like 6 hours a night.

1v1 KW/HPT/CPL/MLG/PGL? Lol just kidding. I played my fair share of pubs/scrims and matches against some good people, some bad, and some bitches on that game. Halo PC was hella fun back when you had decent people to play with; yet then again everyone was busy sucking ~BeNjA and other KW pro peoples dicks.

Still, that video he made, HPC4L, back in 07, was beast.

thanks guys for all the info.
its really sad how the developers seem to neglect the game itself and focused more on money making, hence ruining this game. When they have a service where you get to log in faster if you pay them, you know they are passively encouraging botting and people going afk for days, hence clogging up the servers.

Halo pc in multiplayer iss till pretty fun imo

as for whether you should try the game, well if you have 4 friends who will play with you and all of them are willing to pay for premium then by all means you will have fun, otherwise either go for cSRO, vSRO or another game as mentioned by baro

something similar to SRO would be shaiya or world of kungfu or others.
