Now it's up again, but by a different company. I believe it's the company that made it.

in this case it should be like a window before you login where you should answer random questions like 5+5=, 10x10= etc.

If bots/loaders/etc can figure out the characters in a captcha (which they have done) they certainly can input those characters into a calculator to determine what 5+5 is. Those math questions won't work.

Thats why I said etc..

Dont think they can answer a question like this:

What is the biggest?
The Moon, an Elephant, A nail.

etc.

That's what natural language processing is for. Write software that will scan a string of text, decide if it is a sentence or a question. Pick out the subject, verb, etc. Run it through a database to identify the definitions of things and compare.

Granted, the AI for it would be a bit more advanced than just 5+5=10 or figuring out a simple captcha, but it can be done. The bot/loader/etc could even have a database in different languages and have scripting to identify the language. The bot makers could even update their database every time Joymax comes up with a new question or 50 questions.

Joymax doesn't really have to design a system to prevent bots from entering the game if they simply make it extremely inconvenient or impossible for bots to stay. Take away things that attract the bots. Constant bot bans. Yes, they keep coming back, but if they keep getting banned before lvl 5, will they find it worth creating more bots... eventually? Find a way to identify gold buyers and ban them all! You buy gold, BAN. People will stop buying gold and botting if they know they WILL get banned for it. No more gold buyers, no more (or less) gold bots. Active punishments will bring the 'bad' traffic down to something a lot more manageable.

Active GMs and good server-side scripting ftw. :)

Bot = computer
AI = computer
server = computer

Use computer to fight a computer = no one win. There's always a solution for one to fight back.
In bottom line, human >> computer

"If you want to defeat an army, you got to kill the chieftain/general first"
