Well.... i just felt so surprised and happy when i saw the list for today 16/9/2009. Joymax banned more than 24k bots today
The sad part is that they are probably not going to keep banning that many bots each day .

UPDATE: Might JoyMax just count up all the previous bans ?

Actually, JM havent banned a single bot yet.
Only 7 and 14 days "punishments"

They used to ban like 5k per week. In the start when they introduced the weekly bot banning they banned 20k bots per week. But after a few months they started banning only 5k per week.

Now they banned 20k on ONE single day. That's the good news

i thought the 20k was in total since the start of punishments...

However, during the last weekly update there have been nearly no traffic at all. That's what makes me think that its 20k in one day

i was looking at the site and thinking fk me thats a load of banned bots...

but they arent perma banned... is the banning via IP or char? so for example could it be possible for bot companies to create two sets of accounts...
set 1: 7day ban
set 2: fill in for set 1

etc... then when set1 get unbanned they bot till they get 2 and cash theyre money over to the company and repeat the proces...

or is it IP bannage

just because the put it all in one day doesnt mean it is. everytime i look at the lists it changes... one day theres people on each list, the next day theres no one.

thats interesting its characters not accounts so does that mean the accounts are still accesible?

I lol'd hard... at all the ppl thinking JM banning bots would help... silly nobs

They do the same exact shit every year. Ban 10-30k bots at a time, server gets populated every week from Mon-(Wed-Fri) than they come back. Now they're not even perma banning. So after a week or 2 they all come back in waves. Woo! If you want a bot-free SRO, go make your own private server.

Here's a summary for all you nobs getting excited:
1) Never IP ban, JM too lazy/dumb.
2) Goldbots will be back within a week.
3) Server only stay populated in part due to the popular free bot used by many going pay 2 use.
4) JM does this every year, learn to pick up trends.
5) After a month or so, JM will go back to ignoring bots and pretend all is good.

I've yet to see some actual high lvl players get banned, like perma banned. This new system just makes it seem like they're doing something, but they could easily ban bots 1-2 times than ignore them. We'll still get ban lists of over 10-30k ppl, but they will just come back in a week or so.

i have.. but they come back like 2 monthes later lol
