So for those who claimed they have been inactive in Silkroad, proof is your blocked account.

Just a rollcall, who else here has received message, account blocked 100 years from logging in game or even posting on official forums?

This was one of the oddest decisions I've seen from Joymax so far, not that I've played in years. But of all the issues that plagues this game, they took the time to do this. Their priorities sure are deranged.

They probably mean that, but you know, Joymax fails a lot at english, they prolly meant "delete" instead of "block"

My account got deleted. Just when I reinstalled the game yesterday. MLIA under Joymax.

If a guy with honor buffs gets blocked for inactivity, does that person gets removed from the honor buff list?

If the account is only blocked, it'll stay. If the chars gets deleted it will probably get removed.

Do you get 'blocked' or 'banned' for inactivity?

Isn't blocked and banned the same?

you get blocked for 100 years

so in a 100 years, you can play again.

I got a question about this inactivity shit , do you have to actually log-in the character to show your active , or will simply connecting to the que system show you are active and will save your character , cause if so , ill just try to login for like 5 min then close it and ill be safe..

any help is appreciated.

i think you just have to log into the website and u'll be considered active

About 1.5 years inactive,
Blocked 100 years.
(And NOW they have a queue login system!!)

Logging in on the site or in the game won't remove the block. I mailed JoyMax several times about this issue, but they keep telling me ALL inactive accounts will be blocked, and there is no way to remove the block.

so i have a different question..to get banned for inactivity do u have to be inactive for continuous 12 months (6 months for non silk buyers) or they count it since u made ur account ?

It's very random. I've had an account blocked that was inactive for a week and others that were inactive for a year. The only thing that matters is if you have silk on the account.

chickenfeather, sorry to say that, but that's bullshit. If an account without silk is inactive for half a year it gets banned/blocked/deleted/whatever and if a silk account is inactive for 1 year it gets one of the above actions.

If this were true, why are there exceptions? For example, I have accounts with no silk on them that have been inactive for about 2 years now. They are not bannned.

has been inactive and buy silk on it, charge back.
You get banned for charge back.

Then you pay your charge back and you get unbanned >.>
Same if you get a 7 days ban, just buy silk, charge back

When you login with your banned account and click to buy silk, you get an error message, there is an exploit to go around that error message and reach the buy silk page.
Unless they fixed it since, which I doubt they did.

It was on a turk website with a tutorial of how to do it.

Well if an account is blocked, then there will be no changes to that account. No new characters, deleted characters, existing characters won't level up, won't acquire new items, etc. etc. No data for those accounts will change.

Therefore, they don't have to backup those accounts on their weekly-ish database backups. Just throwing numbers out here... Instead of them having to backup 10 million accounts weekly, they can ban 9 million and backup 1 million. Saves a TON of space on their backup tapes. Less tapes to handle, less physical storage space needed to house the tapes, less time needed to perform the backups, etc., etc.

Just my guess. Sure, they could delete the account, but at least if it's banned, it can sit on the server unchanged, not backed up, and they can potentially unban it in the future. Then again, they could just go back to an old backup to restore the account too, if the backups go that far back. (user returns after 3 years inactive)

That sounds interesting, could anyone tell me more about that? I'd like to try it out, but I have no clue how I could get around that error message.

My first char level like 30 hybrid banned
My stalling account banned
My elixir accounts banned

They must be running out of hard drive space so they start deleting old accounts. If there was even a slightest of chances for me to play again this would defiantly turn me away.
