Dear gosh.. Silkroad Official Forums is beign flamed by account sellers, buyers and traders! Thank god this community isn't even a little like this XD So many rtards

It's not just that but it is a threat to our accounts. For those that didn't email verify the system works just fine. But, when you have email verfied and you can still reset your password with the ID and Secret answer the Email verfication system is pointless.

Huge flaw and mistake that should be corrected.

and the fact that they didn't finish the inspection notice tells me they gave up with the mistakes made last night and went home.

Some people just don't think :/ Which place was you born? What is your favorite star? etc... I could sit there and force the account with random names all i'd have to do ask which country they live in. If you got same username same character name it just makes it easier.

Well then it is a pity for those people, but they knew that this secret answer woudl be very important and they should have given it the attention it deserved. So this actually also wipes out teh dumb persons! Makes it even greater to me

You shouldn't have to worry about your account security everytime Joymax pops up with a new way to screw over the players. The sad part is that 'people' are just as stupid to continue playing.

But i guess when everyone sees something that says FREE they all jump on it without reading the small print.

Hopefully he did.

I gave out my info to friends all the time. I even let the ones i trust use my characters when I take breaks from this game. Letting your friends borrow your account is not the same as giving them the Secret Answer. There's no point in giving that out unless you are planning to buy/sell.

I don't see how anyone can get hacked unless someone is truly bored enough to brute-force your secret answer and id combo...

In which case, they're not really your friends now are they, and why would you give out your info to a total stranger

Whats the deal with the secret questions? The answer is sposed to be a secret. If you really want extra protection then do something like this:

SA - Where do you live?
Answer - cocknoselakedistrict

That way your secret answer is no where near the secret question...

Which defeats the purpose of a secret question lol ....

But some of the questions are pretty easy and guessable, they should have an option where you can write your own questions.

Then if someone ingame asks where you were born, you can actually tell them for real. Then laugh as they bang their head trying to type the city name into your secret answer password request form.

How will you know that they are trying to hack/scam you...?

I'd know because by the time I've told them the answer to their question, I have already placed a remote monitoring system on their computer and am watching their every move remotely.

My point is, instead of providing real answers to secret questions, just provide 'made up' answers, even if the answer is 193ewvila2349al. As long as YOU know what you put as the fake answer to "Where were you born?" you don't have to worry about someone finding out the real answer. Then it doesn't matter if they're trying to hack/scam you or not.
