Remember that part which said, SilkroadOnline Membership Subscription and Email Verification System would be updated?

You can now change the password of any account by knowing only 2 things:
1) ID.
2) Secret Answer.

So anyone of you who sold an account, you can change its password and log on it, and so can the one who bought it from you, basically sold accounts aren't worth playing on anymore. You can get hacked again and again, same goes for traded accounts but even worse.

Goodluck everyone, 4 characters hacked back / stripped so far on our server.

I love how Joymax loves to fuck their players and they still buy Silk.

Well ofcourse, that's what an secret answer is for.. If u didn't figure that out before you bought or traded an account then u, my friend, have failed.

That sucks for anybody who shared or brought accounts. Another great move by joymax - not.

People traded / sold accounts because they had email verification to protect it, so they bought it, knowing that now the original seller knows all the information except for the Email verification, so the buyer was safe. Now Email verification is removed, sold characters / hacked ones can be regained by their original owners but still accessible by both of them, which in turn makes the account worthless to use.

PS: I didn't buy an account. A friend who quit gave it to me.

Its useless if someone else already knows your ID and Secret Answer. He will change it again, so whats the use? Unless its someone who you trust 100%.

Well it makes perfect sense that they changed this, people aren't getting screwed over, they are now just preventing the selling of accounts since u can get hacked back again now. I say this is a smart move of Joymax, and anybody who doesn't think it's a smart move supports the selling of accounts.

Edit: Oh yeah, it works like this in every other game, even World of Warcraft. But World of Warcraft even got more enhanced protection for accounts by purchasing real life items for about 5 euros, which makes it impossibel to get hacked unless you got that real life item. this item generates an unique code which you also need to login if you purchase it.

How is this a smart move? Most of the new players on Silkroad bought accounts, I am sure 100% that many people have bought and traded accounts, and thus they were screwed. Plus now they made many people leave, thats what I saw on my server, which equals less income. Smart move eh?

We get rid of the people that buy accounts (buying accounts is dumb and not approved) and less traffic Thats about the same as banning bots if you look at it like I do xd

This is a very stupid idea even if you have email verfication on you can still change hte password with the ID and secret answer.

Got 2 hacked accounts back, lol. Dunno when will i lose these again. Because just as i changed pw, the hacker can do the same too.

lets see if they change it back within 12 hours

they made the new system and you still have the option to use E-mail Verification !!
now E-Mail Verification is useless as u see ..
so they remove Verification or remove the new System ..
btw the new system will prevent the trading for accounts !!
so i think scamming accounts will disappear
and btw trading ur account for another or selling it is not allowed by Joymax

Yes, TheKnight. He can use the "Forgot Your Password" feature to do so.

You can change your email and your password.
how could the hacker get back in?
the security question is like the ultimate personal security.

P.S. Yes, you can change your account's email address. I did it a few days ago.

haha, i just logged onto my old char that got scammed from me, it was 80 when it was scammed now its 97 with prem plus, gg.
